Itinerary

60 min

The guide will pick up you at 8 am from your hotel and we will start this day with exploring the temples of UNESCO listed Angkor National Park, the World Heritage site and it's the World Largest Religious Monument. Pay the entrance fee on your own account at the ticket office where we will stop for you to buy one and make your way with the guide to the first stop at Angkor Wat to visit the largest and most impressive of all Angkor temples, considered among one of the 7th Wonders of the World.

Admission not included120 min

Angkor Wat was built between 1113-1150 AD and dedicated to Vishnu, the Hindu god of preservation. It's the best preserved of all the temples. Its layout and its scale are simply breathtaking, the wall surrounding the enclosure measures 1,000 by 800 meters and the moat, said to represent the oceans of the world is 200 meters wide. Angkor Wat is an architectural allegory of the mythical Mount Meru in the center of the world (Himalaya). This amazing temple homes the longest continuous bas relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls.

Admission not included50 min

We also explore the Angkor Thom complex. Its vast walls, some 6m wide, 8m high and 13km in length contain many monuments. Inside the walls the king, his relatives and officials, military officers and priests took residence, the rest of the people lived outside of the great enclosure, between the two artificial lakes. Our visit will begin with the South Gate, a beautiful introduction to Angkor Thom with well-restored statues of Asuras (demons) and gods lining the bridge.

Inside the complex, we will first visit the Bayon with 200 endless smiling faces. This temple mountain situated in the center of Angkor Thom City where sets the Bayon apart from many other Angkor monuments

and we will continue to the Elephant Terrace, which owes its name to its outstanding depiction of these animals and the Terrace of Leper King, which presents a magnificent sculpture, popularly known as the leper king.

Angkor temple run

Phearom was very helpful during the entire temple trip. He helped with the admission ticket purchase, taking us across 3 different temples and dropping us back to the hotel. As it was a very hot day, he had kept cold towels and chilled water ready in his car and would offer it after every temple visit. This was a real saviour as we did not need to worry about carrying water always with us and make our baggage heavier. Phearom is also very engaging in terms of explaining different places in Siem Reap throughout our tour.

Excellent 1-Day tour of Angkor Wat

Our guide, Sath, was great! He was very knowledgeable and experienced. He knew all the best places for pictures, interesting things to see, and was very professional and helpful. Whenever we returned to the tuk-tuk for the next leg of the tour, Mr Sim (driver) would have cold, jasmine scented towels and bottles of cold water for us. The one-day tour included highlights of the Hindu and Buddhist temples, the Ta Prohm ruins, the moat, and Victory Gate. While you can't see everything in one day, we thought this was an excellent tour if you only have one day to dedicate to Angkor Wat.

Brilliant tour. Would thoroughly recommend

My partner and I had a fantastic tour with Nak, who was very knowledgable, enthusiastic and accommodating of the tweaks we made to the schedule. A brilliant experience and I would thoroughly recommend it. Cold towels are a great addition after each temple stop. Brilliant tour

They provided cold towels and waters are very time we got on the bus, and the information was just right- not too much and not too little. Also sin is funny! Made the tour much more enjoyable! Amazing!! Highly recommend

This was the ideal tour!!! San was amazing, a great guide who knows the best viewpoints and takes excellent photos! He is full of knowledge about everything I could think of, from Khmer history to construction, religious context, Cambodia in the last century, mine removal… and tips for what else to see and do! San also knows interesting details about the temples that others skip over, and knows the best less-populated spots for photos. Very well-coordinated with the tuktuk driver, who provided much-appreciated cold water and towels for the heat! They even paused for me to eat. I’m so glad that I booked this (the early start time is worth it) and cannot recommend enough. Amazing tour with amazing guide and driver

We had an amazing time with our guide Sophy and our driver Mr Cheat. Sophy guided us to the various temples, explained the history and the stories of each temple and always had answers for all of our questions. Mr Cheat made sure we had a comfortable ride, also providing cold water and cold wet towels. We can recommend this tour to any traveler traveling to Siem Reap. Sophy and Mr Cheat made the day a special one! Thank you very much!!!

Amazing Tour

We had an afternoon tour (4 hours) apparently this is the the quiet part of the day and it was- Nak was a very knowledgeable host and we visited the 3 temples - you can do this tour on your own but you’d miss the history and the local culture- I highly recommend this tour
