Informative and well worth the price!

Neil was a great guide! He made sure everything was taken care of- walking us to the meetup points for our tour, getting our tickets, and answering any questions we had along the way. Stirling Castle was very interesting, and there are several exhibits where you can easily spend your day. We also really enjoyed the Loch Lomond cruise. This trip allowed us to take in some history without spending a ton of time on the bus, which my spouse and I appreciated.

Wonderful trip

David was a fantastic guide! So good in fact that I also left a Google review of the whole company about the trip. I highly recommend this trip and company!

A beautiful castle to discover.....

A castle with several areas to visit that requires more time to fully appreciate the information provided by the guide. Additionally, the two guides from Rabbies led us. The boat tour to discover the lock was light and informative.

A good tour to see Sterling Castle and Loch Lomond

We did this tour with Rabbie’s on 31/5/2026. This was the third day tour we had booked with Rabbie’s on our visit to Scotland. As with the other two tours, this one did not disappoint and we would highly recommend this day trip if you are in Glasgow and would like to visit Sterling Castle. The pick-up spot at the bus station was easy to find and convenient. Our guide, Ally P. was very energetic, helpful, knowledgeable and fun to spend the day with. His love of music and “dad jokes” made for a fun day and his knowledge of local history and story telling made the trip very informative as well. Our tour was full but the limit of 16 is easily managed and did not seem crowed. Sterling Castle is amazing. Our tip is to purchase the entry fee option when booking the tour with Rabbie’s to avoid the lines (Castle fee and Cruise fee seem to be included when booking through Tripadvisor). When the tour arrives at the castle, take the first free guided tour offered by castle staff. The guided tour will help maximize your time at the castle and allow for ample time to explore on your own before the tour moves on to Loch Lomond. We also purchased the Loch Lomond cruise option. The view from the water of the shoreline and some of the old estates was worth the ride. The cruise also offers a bit of history of the area. This was a very well organized, fun and informative tour. We had a great time on this tour.

Not at all recommend for someone who wants to explore more in 9 hours.

I was expecting more sight seen. It is just the palace and the cruise has more than 100+ people. It is not at all worth for the money I paid.

Operator response

Hi Abnisha, I'm sorry to hear the tour wasn't what you were expecting and that you felt it didn't offere good value for money. We offer a range of tours, with some designed to cover more ground and others allowing for more time and deeper exploration at each location. To help guests choose the experience that best suits them, we do our best to accurately outline each itinerary on our website and through our online booking partners. I regret if any part of the advertised itinerary was unclear or created different expectations for the day. We also appreciate your comments regarding the cruise experience. As these cruises are operated by third party providers, passenger numbers can vary depending on the season and demand on the day. And while cruise tickets are included in the cost for bookings through online agents, it is always an optional activity. Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback. I do hope we’ll have the opportunity to welcome you on another tour in the future that may be a better fit for the type of experience you’re looking for. We have many options that cover more ground and offer a different pace, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d ever like recommendations. Thanks, Jo

Lovely day outside of Glasgow

Jeff C was an excellent driver and guide. With 16 passengers the minibus was a little cramped but it was comfortable. Stirling Castle deserves the 2 hours you have on this tour. I skipped the tour and rented an audio guide so I could go at my own pace. Exhibits there are very well done. Loch Lomand is beautiful and the boat trip was pleasant in spite of it being very cold and windy... but sunny. Seeing the beautiful countryside was a plus. I took this tour my first day in Scotland to help adjust to the time and it was very helpful for that purpose.
