Bus with AC for 16 guests. Marc was a very secure driver and guide. He shared his love for his country by giving many informations and telling very intersting stories. This was my first bus tour, and I am still happy to have bookd this tour. Marc took us to lovely sceneries and places. We had enough time at the stops, and the time between the stops were perfect regarding the need of finding food and bathrooms..
Our friendly tour guide, Adam, picked me up right on time from the Glasgow stop and away we went. There were 14 others on the bus with me, a mix of other solo travelers and people traveling with family or friends. I liked the mix of people I traveled with and Adam made us all feel comfortable. The Scottish highlands are beautiful to drive through. I liked that Adam maintained a nice balance of sharing relevant tidbits and letting us enjoy the scenery. This tour packs in a LOT, and our guide had to adjust some of it based on the weather. I really loved the Fairy Glen on the Isle of Skye - that was probably my favorite spot (even more than the Fairy Pools). I also thought the area just south of Loch Ness looked like a nice place to visit - would have stayed there longer if possible. I also liked my accommodation at the bed and breakfast - which was arranged by the tour - I had a comfortable stay. I had traveled to multiple places before this excursion and only had tennis shoes. In my travel situation (multiple places with different weather), that was the best I could do, but really, I was not quite prepared for the weather to be so constantly drippy even though it did not rain hard. For U.S. people, I would compare it to the Pacific Northwest. I’d recommend future travelers bring hiking boots as well as trainers/tennis shoes and a pair of waterproof pants. At least I brought good socks and a rain jacket that dried quickly! My umbrella was useless as the wind kept flipping it inside out. I can’t stress enough how much our guide, Adam, made a difference in the trip. Easy going guy, but fun and engaging. I plan to recommend this trip to others - it really gave me a sense of Scotland and was the highlight for me. I also would love to return as it is impossible to really know the Highlands in 3 days/2 nights.
Michelle was the most amazing tour guide I have ever had. She was so informative, friendly, and went the extra mile non-stop to make sure we had a one of a kind experience. Even when faced with car accidents and road closures, Michelle was amazing at navigating the situation and getting us to our destinations no matter what. We saw the most amazing views and had the most amazing time. I really do have to accredit this to Michelle and her guidance. I will be requesting Michelle the next time I use Timberbush and telling others to book with this company and request her as well!! Most amazing trip ever!
We had an absolutely incredible experience with Michelle on our 3-day bus tour. She was the best tour guide I have ever had. When a major road was closed, she was quick and adaptable and made sure that we got to our location. You can really tell that she is passionate, experienced and knowledge about Scotland and her tour guide. She made us feel like one big family, I hope to cross paths with her again. She was lovely and the tour was awesome and informative. I wish I could give Michelle 6 stars!
Our 3-day tour was absolutely incredible, and a huge part of that was our tour guide, Michelle. She was knowledgeable, professional, and made the entire experience so enjoyable. Michelle knew the roads inside and out and made decisions on the fly when accidents/traffic could have caused major delays. Thanks to her quick thinking, we avoided getting stuck for hours and were able to make the most of our trip! She also shared so many historical facts along the way, and her Scottish music made the long drives fly by and kept us engaged. What really stood out was how she brought our group together. She created such a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere that everyone felt included, and by the end of the tour it felt like we were traveling with friends. On top of that, all of her recommendations were fantastic at each stop! I would 1000% recommend Michelle to anyone considering this tour. She truly went above and beyond, and she made an already beautiful trip unforgettable!
Had an amazing three days touring Scotland and the Isle of Skye with our guide Aussie Mark! His knowledge was incredible - and we loved all the folklore shared as well! We are a family of four (two adults and a 9 and 13 year old) and this tour was a perfect way to learn and explore for kids and adults alike! We’ve never done a tour, and honestly I was reluctant to as we normally like to do our own thing - but this exceeded our expectations and was such a nice way to see tons, while learning and not having to worry about anything! Couldn’t recommend this tour more!!
Hi Laura, Thank you so much for leaving us a lovely review! We are so glad that you enjoyed your time on tour with us, and appreciated Mark's incredible knowledge of Scottish history and culture. It is also lovely to hear that our passengers can just relax and experience Scotland, we always aim to make our tours informative and comfortable for those on tour! We would love to welcome you on tour with us again in the future, there is still lots more incredible scenery to see! Kind regards, Eleanor
Its a lot of driving through breathtaking landscapes. Coach was relatively comfortable and had cell phone plugs!! Our hotel had a lot of rules and no ice or microwave for guest use. The entire passenger group was focused on seeing highland cows. We stopped at one place and got to feed the cops and a baby coo. Not much other sighting of highland cows. Tons of sheep which we all enjoyed. The landscapes we magical. We had great weather, little windy, which added to the beauty of the place. I would definitely recommend!!
Beautiful itinerary and accommodation. But one thing destroyed most of my fun with you which is my sitting arrangements on the tour bus. Your driver/guide has very unusual way for sitting arrangements, which is who ever comes early got priority for choosing sit in bus. Which I found odd as we are picked up by your driver/guide. On day one me and my wife was picked up last as we were from Glasgow and sat on last row (which was very acceptable). Day two we were picked up somewhere in middle and we sat middle row. But day three, on our way back we picked up last and had to sat on last row again. Out of last row three places, me and my wife sat two out of three days, remaining one place sat by three different persons on three days. When same 6-9 people sat on first three rows in all three day. Which I found unjust. On day one I asked our tour guide/driver “ if this sit arrangement in rotation”- she said no. I requested her to make this on rotation so everyone will have same opportunity but she refused. I am not sure if she done this unfair treatment with my wife intentionally or not. Unfortunately I need to be honest with my friends and family back in Australia or other places when they will ask me about this tour with your company. I made this comment to to the tour company, unfortunately didn’t received any feedback from them yet
Good afternoon, Thank you for your message. We really appreciate your feedback, as we want our tours to be as enjoyable as possible. We are sorry to hear that this was your expereince on tour, we do apologise if the seating arrangements dulled your overall experience, however unfortunately, we do operate on a first come first served basis. We understand how this can be frustrating and we do hope that this has not detterred you from joining us on tour again! If you would like to travel with us in the future, please be sure to make us aware and we can arrange something special for you. Kind regards, Hannah
Andrew T. was an amazing tour guide! Being raised in the exact areas we toured, Andrew not only knew the “typical history and stories”, but was able to provide his own personal experiences having lived in Portree! He was even able to plan our days and routes around the local weather patterns, which he knew well, so we avoided the big groups and bad weather while exploring. I 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to explore the highlands.
Hi Jordan, Thank you for the fantastic review! We're sure Andrew will be happy to hear that he made such a positive impact on your tour experience! We love that we were able to share the beautiful scenery of Scotland with you and we hope to see you again sometime soon for another adventure! Best wishes, Faye
