We had a great time on this tour. After an exhausting day physically the day before and adjusting to the time change, this tour was perfect for us! Jeff C was a terrific tour guide. Extremely knowledgeable, charming Scottish humor, and did everything possible to give everyone a positive experience. I mean short of a godlike ability to remove the clouds from the top of Ben Nevis, Jeff C had all the traits you want in a tour guide. He had just the right amount of commentary, traditional Scottish my music and silence for a long day touring all over Scotland! The bus was comfortable including the seats, even for someone with a bad back. Well done to Jeff C, he was an excellent driver and super safe, often stopping his train or thought to concentrate when he needed to. This was a terrific experience and we highly recommend!
As our guide (“old” Cameron) mentioned, this is a great way to experience enough highlights of the Scottish countryside to make you want to come back and spend more time exploring. He’s correct. This was a long, packed day with many sights - Loch Lamond, stops in the Highlands, Loch Ness, an encounter with Highland Cows, and more. Our group consisted of adults, young adults, and teenagers. All enjoyed the day to say the least. “Old” Cameron took care to share many stories relative to our journey regarding Scotland and just so happened to be a very charming host/guide for our day. If you have limited time in Glasgow but want to get a flavor for the country, this is an ideal tour to maximize your day. Definitely recommend. Pro tip: make sure you arrive early and pay attention to departure information.
Definitely worth it, if it’s your first time exploring the Scottish Highlands. James was a great tour guide, and provided us with a wealth of information, which encourages us to come back! We also enjoyed the Loch Ness cruise and Owen’s presentation. Highly recommend!
Our day tour to Loch Ness and the Highlands from Glasgow with Old Cameron was absolutely incredible — my friend and I both agreed it was the highlight of our entire trip! Cameron was a phenomenal storyteller. He didn’t just share facts about the places we visited; he brought them to life with fascinating stories, local lore, and history about the landscapes we were traveling through. His passion for Scotland truly made the journey unforgettable. The tour was thoughtfully planned, with every stop adding something special to the experience. One of the most memorable moments was Cameron making sure we got to see Highland cows — it was such a magical experience and a perfect Scottish moment! We had the best time and would absolutely take another Rabbie’s tour with Old Cameron again. He made the day truly special, and we’re so grateful for the memories.
This was a great tour! James, our driver, was very fun, easy going, and full of information of all the areas we saw. Highly recommend this tour if you are short of time to see Scotland. Great way to see highlights.
Hubby and I have mixed reviews regarding our day tour to the Scottish Highlands. Our tour guide George was very pleasant who provided us with a wealth of information regarding each site and shared his great and extensive music playlist with us. Although we enjoyed the tours and its numerous gorgeous stops along the way, we were highly disappointed that we missed our boat cruise of Loch Ness. We were advised that we would only have 25 minutes for lunch before we had to meet at the dock (we were not advised where the dock was). A few of us decided to order lunch (big mistake as it took awhile to get our food to go). Our tour guide waited as long as he could before he had to take the rest to the dock but provided us with directions. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication in directions as we headed in the opposite direction. By the time we realized, we saw our tour guide heading towards us. We high-tailed it to the dock but missed the boat by seconds. If anyone is thinking about booking this tour, please keep in mind of the time crunch once arriving in Fort Augustus (Loch Ness) and to possibly have a snack beforehand or just hold off all together on lunch. A suggestion to Rabbie's - eliminate a stop along that would allow plenty of time for lunch for those who are participating in the boat cruise. What made up for missing the cruise was stopping at a ranch to see the hairy-coo up close. It was probably an experience that we couldn't have seen on our own. Despite our unfortunate incident, we will continue to make future reservations with Rabbie's.
Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave us this feedback. I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed your driver-guide's commentary and the music he played on board. I'm sure you have learned a lot about Scotland. It's a shame to hear that you missed the boat tour on the Loch Ness, it must have been really disappointing. I understand that the driver-guide tried to do everything he could to make sure you could catch the boat, but in the end, it was just not possible, and I'm sorry for this. It seems like the highland cow stop was a highlight and may have saved this day for you. Aren't they beautiful beasts? If you wish, you can contact us directly at feedback@rabbies.com, and we can look into a possible compensation for the missed boat tour. Again, I'm sorry that this tour didn't go as planned, and I hope that you still enjoyed your time discovering Scotland. Best regards, Camille
The pick up is BEHIND the bus station do not go by google maps. We missed tour as the driver waved at us while he drove by because we had been waiting at a different pick up location that was confirmed as a pick up place by other tour operator for future bookings i will be requesting tour group operator information before relying on just viator directions
Neil was a great driver/ tour guide! He was extremely knowledgeable and very entertaining throughout the entire trip. We had so much fun, he even took us to a distillery on the way back, and we were able to taste some whisky and buy some gifts for family back home. The tour of Loch Ness was really cool, but sadly we did not see Nessie… maybe next time.
Graeme was fantastic. I feel we got a history class in one trip. He was so kind in helping et off and on. He was so informative and answered every question we askd
Graham is an amazing driver navigating the twisty highland roads with ease. He was also a knowledgeable guide who interspersed informative historical facts with funny little anecdotes (and amazing Scottish music)! Because he really was tuned-in to our little group, he surprised us with a couple of sidebar stops that enhanced our experience incredibly. I think i might be in Love with Scotland (and I don't like cold weather!)
