St. Peter's Basilica Entry Ticket

THIS IS A SCAM, DO NOT BUY IT. You can buy the ticket for a time slot reservation directly on the basilica's website, with the audio guide, and it costs MUCH CHEAPER. They are scalpers who buy the tickets and resell them at a much higher price. But, in reality, I think they don't even buy the tickets, because they only sent ours after much insistence. They only sent the email with the audio guide when we were already there, and after I called them. I contacted Viator to warn them that it's a scam and try to get at least some of my money back, and they did nothing; they're keeping the ad on the site. This ticket was useless. We paid $72 to enter the church which is free to enter. There are multiple lines to enter so the “skip the line” tickets were a joke. Don’t waste your money..enter for free and just walk in.

They never sent my tickets, forcing me to call and email them multiple times just to get a response. Once we arrived at the Vatican, I realized why they never sent tickets: entrance to St. Peter’s Basilica is actually completely free! This company is an overseas scam preying on tourists. Save your money and do not engage with them

Book it! Book it! Book it! We are so glad we did the "skip the line" option- it is a must. We met our tour guide and were walked right up to the entry. I took a lot of stress off of trying to figure out where we needed to go during this Jubilee Year. We booked early in the morning and were also able to go through the Holy Doors!

Bad experience with audio guidance, instead of describing the wonderful artistic riches, and historical notes, had become a lesson in catechesis. The Basilica nothing to complain about amazing, wonderful, very rich in art, Inquire if there are masses during your tour, especially in the Vatican Grottoes, that you will not be able to visit them until after the Holy Mass, this is a period very popular with pilgrims for the jubilee. The Dome very beautiful internally close to the mosaics, even here with Holy Mass concluded otherwise impossible to visit, the Dome to access the terrace very uncomfortable many steps not comfortable, very hot lacks air, once you get to the top nothing fancy, view the surrounding landscape. Whilst I knew that I would on my own with the option I chose I was simply pointed in the direction I was to go from a distance. Anyhow I got in with no issues and I enjoyed my time in the fascinating Basilica. The option I paid for was with audio guide but I got no audio guide.
