Organization was confusing — we had to switch buses midway with no explanation and detoured an extra hour to pick up others. The guide only met us at the ferry, handed tickets, and left us to board ourselves. Snorkeling with a third-party company (Andreas Tour) was underwhelming — old boat, no fins, worn life jackets, and few fish. The best part was relaxing at El Cielito with manta rays and freshly made guac and ceviche and drinks. Lunch at the “beach club” was mediocre, and the short 2-hour stop in Cozumel didn’t add much. Ended the day cramped in a small van back. Overall, a very mid experience.
The bus transfer and ferry are part of the itinerary and help us cover a lot of ground in one day. It might feel a bit hectic if you're expecting a straight shot, but that’s how we make the full experience possible As for the snorkeling, the name of the guide was Andrea and the reefs are home to multiple types or marine life, there wasn't "a few fish" The snorkel equipment was standard and included the fins, the guide even offered them We appreciate the comments and the notes, we'll keep working to improve the experience The Cozumel stop and beach club are meant to be quick experiences to give a feel for the island, not full excursions. Some people love the pace, others prefer more time in one spot, and that’s fair
