Visit one of the market’s most famous stalls, featured on Netflix’s Street Food: Asia. Enjoy a bowl of handmade kalguksu noodle soup and mandu dumplings, freshly prepared and served hot.
Taste several classic Korean street foods at a busy local favorite. Sample mayak kimbap, oden (fish cake soup), and tteokbokki (rice cakes in a spicy-sweet sauce).
Watch a traditional bindaetteok (mung bean pancake) cooked fresh on a hot griddle. This crispy pancake is one of Gwangjang Market’s signature dishes
Enjoy deep-fried green peppers, a popular savory snack. Guests may also try a tasting of makgeolli, a traditional Korean rice wine. Alcohol is optional and can be skipped if preferred.
End with a sweet treat: honey hotteok, a deep-fried dough filled with warm syrup, crispy on the outside and soft inside.

We had a very pleasant time with our guide Celine. She showed us all the main dishes we needed to try-out in the market, but also gave good advice for other food related questions. Very kind guide and good english.

Celine was a wonderful guide and introduced us to many delicious foods. She did a great job tailoring the tour to include our children too. There was heaps to eat!!
That is so great to hear! Celine sounds like an absolute rockstar. A fantastic guide can truly make a family trip unforgettable, especially when they know how to balance incredible local food with kid-friendly options. Make sure you book your next food tour with us again, Foodprint Tours
So much fun! Virginia was amazing as a guide and was able to give so much detail in the food we were provided. Some of the spots she wanted to have us try were closed due to the holiday but she pivoted quickly and made it a memorable experience! If you’re lucky enough to get her, you’ll be happy you took this tour.
Thank you so much for the wonderful review! Holiday closures can always throw a curveball, but Virginia is an absolute pro at thinking on her feet. We are so proud of how quickly she pivoted to make sure your experience was seamless, memorable, and full of delicious details. We will definitely pass your kind words along to her—she will be thrilled to hear she made such an impact. We hope you get to join us on your next trip with Foodprint Tours!
If you are intimidated by the hectic Seoul street food scene, fear not and take a tour with Zenobia. She will guide you through the must eat food items and explain the history behind the area and food items ( it’s her study major!). Beware, come hungry because there is a lot of great food and great conversation and history to eat up. You eat communal style and have a great opportunity to meet locals. This is not just a tasty bite. This is full on Korean street food experience!
Thank you so much for this amazing review! We’re so happy you enjoyed the full Korean street food experience — from the food itself to the history and atmosphere of the market. Zenobia will be very happy to hear your kind words about her knowledge and passion for Korean culture and history. And yes… arriving hungry is definitely recommended! Thank you again for joining us, and we hope to see you again on another Foodprint Tours experience soon. Foodprint Tours

Zeni was a great guide, she provided great overview of the markets histort. She had great knowledge of the food and good relationship with each vendor we visited which meant we were able to get the food quickly. We were provided a good variety of food, even our toddler enjoyed it. She even assisted us with getting our taxi home.
We’re so happy to hear you had such a great experience with Zeni! It’s wonderful that she could share her knowledge of the market and local food while making everything run smoothly with the vendors. We especially love hearing that even your toddler enjoyed the tour — that means a lot! And it’s great that Zeni could help you get home comfortably as well. Thank you for your kind words, and we hope to welcome you again on another tour with Foodprint Tours
We had such a great time on our food tour with Virginia. She was friendly, fun, and made the whole experience really enjoyable. She took us around to try so much delicious food, and it was such a lovely way to explore. Definitely recommend!
We’re so happy you had a great time with Virginia! Her energy and love for Seoul really make the whole experience come alive. If your travels take you elsewhere, keep the food adventures going with us — we’d love to welcome you in cities like Tokyo, Istanbul, or Paris!
This tour is a fabulous way to taste several types of traditional Korean food in a fun setting. Be aware - yhe market is crowded with tourists and Koreans (all vying for bench seats at one of the food stalls), but that adds to the high energy atmosphere. I appreciated that the tour was 1 stop and not an off-and-on bus experience. Virginia, our guide, was fantastic - knowledgeable about Korea (and Japan; she has a Masters in Asian Studies) and comes from the heel of Italy. She was very kind and patient with us and the stall owners, who can get feisty if you want to order a dish to share. Great way to experience the market!
Thank you so much for this detailed review — this is exactly the experience we aim to create. Gwangjang Market is indeed lively and full of energy, and we’re glad you embraced that atmosphere as part of the experience. It’s one of the reasons we chose this format — staying within the market allows guests to fully immerse themselves in the local food culture rather than moving between disconnected stops. We’re especially happy to hear how much you enjoyed your time with Virginia. She truly brings a unique perspective to the tour, and your kind words about her knowledge and personality mean a lot to us. Foodprint Tours runs in cities around the world — we’d love to host you again on your next trip.
