We had a great time on our food tour in Seoul with Juno! Juno was very friendly and took us through an eclectic and authentic tour of Seoul’s local cuisine. We enjoyed learning about the local food and drink customs as well. Highly recommend!
We really enjoyed trying some unusual Korean delicacies. Our tour guide Kevin was great! We really enjoyed the amount of food and drink and highly recommend!
Tan was so lively and had a lot of knowledge. He was always in a good mood. The food was amazing. There were a lot of different types of street food styles. I recommend it!
Juno was great! So patient and his energy contagious.
Tan was such a friendly and knowledgeable guide. We got to taste so many different types of food and learned a bit at each stop. It was a lovely way to experience the food market.
Rocky was a fantastic guide! He gave us a great introduction to Korean cuisine, and the market we visited, Gwangjang Market, felt much more authentic than the Myeongdong Night Market. As a vegetarian, I really appreciated that Rocky was able to provide substitutions at almost every stop, allowing me to enjoy traditional Korean food without feeling like I was missing out. I highly recommend this tour, especially if it’s your first visit to Gwangjang Market or if you want a better introduction to traditional Korean street food.
If you want to experience Seoul's street food scene the right way, take this tour with Taehaeng (Tan). He's funny, knowledgeable, and keeps the energy high from the first bite to the last. And the food — eleven dishes! We tried mayak "drug" kimbap (dangerously addictive, as the name promises), tteokbokki, crispy mung bean pancakes, savory pork meatball pancakes, a trio of dumplings (pork, kimchi, and shrimp), bubbling hot-pot bulgogi, silky beef tartare, twisted rice doughnuts, syrup-filled hotteok, and traditional makgeolli rice wine to wash it all down. I even braved sannakji — live octopus — which literally clings to the inside of your mouth as you eat it. An unforgettable experience! Between bites, Tan taught us Korean drinking games ("3, 6, 9" and "Bunny Bunny"), which get significantly harder after a few cups of makgeolli. We laughed the whole way through
Fantastic time with Tan and met wonderful new friends from all over the world. Thank you for a fun evening in a wonderful city!
We have been on a number of food tours in various countries. This was perhaps the best of all of them. Jacob was friendly and knowledgeable and made sure we got plenty to eat, and his English was excellent. He even taught the group some traditional Korean drinking games. There was never a long wait; we always had food and drinks in our hands! We sampled about 20 different foods and drinks, from small side dishes to big plates. Our favorites were the donuts, the mung bean pancake, the kimbap, the honey butter soju, and the bulgogi stew. Great variety, great quality, and great fun. Well worth it!
Great tour guide and a fun/ inviting way to see the food markets. I am not an adventurous eater but this got me to try new things and understand how things work in the markets
