I can wholeheartedly recommend this experience. MJ is so nice and patient and shows everything in detail. She also shows a short power point about the story of bojagi.
If you want to immerse yourself in Korean culture with elegance, harmony and sympathy then I recommend with every fibre in my body that you participate in one of the workshops of Bojagi studio. MJ is a very good teacher who will guide you in this art with mastery and kindness. Time has flown in her studio which seems to be an island of peace and beauty in a lively neighbourhood. If you have any difficulties you can write her a message she is also very helpful! Book a workshop; you won't regret it even for a minute.
From the welcome snack that was provided to the hands-on instruction provided, my group had a great time learning the art of bojagi. We've already started wrapping our souvenir gifts for family and friends in bojagi and anticipate that they will be very impressed to see what we learned.
I had a great time doing the 2 Bojagis under the wise advice of the provider. I found the presentation on the history of Bojagi through the ages very interesting. I learned a lot!
Altho it is a climb upstairs to the studio, it was a most enjoyable experience with a personable instructor and artisan. It was historical, cultural, educational and just plain fun. She is very talented and a great teacher. It is possible to buy hand crafted materials of high quality also.
Learn how to wrap gifts beautifully in fabric - MJ is a lovely teacher. And there are gorgeous bojagi, Korean gifts and accessories to buy.
This was a fantastic workshop and I highly recommend to everyone wanting to dive into Korean culture. Minjung was an excellent teacher and I loved learning more about Korean culture through the act of gifting. This hands on workshop was thoughtful and well taught. You even get to keep your bojagi! At the end, there is an opportunity to take pictures of your work and buy bojagi cloths to wrap your own gifts in the future. A wonderful experience!
This experience was so great! MJ was super nice and also great at demonstrating the techniques. She even went above and beyond to show me how to wrap the little gifts I’m bringing home to my kids. Her studio has a nice tranquil vibe and is located in a fun neighborhood for walking around. This wasn’t a craft class where you make some one-time trinket that becomes clutter at home. I learned things I’ll actually use!
The Bojagi workshop offered a warm and engaging introduction to this beautiful traditional Korean craft. The pace was relaxed, allowing us to fully enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. Snacks were a thoughtful touch, and we especially appreciated the chance to chat with our lovely host, who made the workshop even more memorable. Highly recommended!
I had such a lovely experience at MJ’s Studio. MJ is warm and kind, and the session was beautifully curated, informative, and very pleasant. I truly appreciated the time she took to introduce me to this beautiful Korean tradition. Her store is filled with so many stunning pieces, it was such a special experience.
