Appian Way was fun! But bumpy!

I was fortunate to have Paolo as my guide for a private e-bike tour along the Appian Way. It was an outstanding experience! Paolo was friendly, knowledgeable, and exceptionally safety-conscious—he was constantly alert to the hazards of riding e-bikes and made sure everyone stayed safe. He was incredibly accommodating: any questions for Paolo? No problem. Need a quick break? No problem. Just be aware that while it’s an e-bike tour, it’s still physically demanding—especially on the upper body. That said, if you’re in decent shape, I highly recommend it. When is the last time you rode a bike on a road built in 312 BC? The history along the route is absolutely impressive. I’d do it again in a heartbeat! 💯

Great experience and Andy did a great job

Andy (Andrew Stevens) was our tour guide and he was fantastic. He had great knowledge and a good sense of humor. Also helpful with handling any issues with the bikes. Was also accommodating to stop for water refills. Would highly recommend. Quick side note - my Dad said he booked this tour online but not sure where exactly he did it through

Via Appia by e-bike

This was an excellent way to experience more if ancient Rome, get some fresh air and some exercise away from the main tourist attractions. Massimo was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide and as we were the only 2 people on the tour, it became our very own private tour! The e-bikes were convenient and very useful on the hills. The perfect way to experience the Via Appia. Thank you Massimo!

Great tour/Ama ing guide

Ricardo (Ricky) was INCREDIBLE!!! We had 3 kids in the back of bikes and he rode with one. Our little one fell asleep but Ricky held her head the whole way. He was incredibly informative, great with the other kids and kept us informed. I’m so grateful we had him as our guide. Details about Rome and the countryside were things we’d never learn otherwise. Because he is from Rome we were treated to an amazing wealth of information.
