I had such an excellent experience with my guide, Ruggero! He was incredibly fun, friendly, knowledgeable, and informative, making the entire journey enjoyable from beginning to end. His enthusiasm and great personality truly made the experience special. A big thank you as well to Towns of Italy for providing such a wonderful experience, along with excellent communication and customer service throughout. Everything was well organized and made the journey feel effortless and enjoyable. I truly appreciate this wonderful experience and would highly recommend Ruggero and Towns of Italy to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable tour.
The guide, Rafaela, is very knowledgeable, kind. She takes the Time to explain and detail everything.
Very knowledgeable, kind and friendly guide
We did a small group guided tour of the Roman Forum, Palantine Hill, and the Colosseum with Alessandro. Our family of 3 and just one other couple. The Towns of Italy office, where we met, was absolutely the nicest meeting spot of all the tours we did on our trip (and we did a lot!). AC, Water, Friendly Staff, Lounge Area, and well organized. Our guide Alessandro was AMAZING. He was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and funny. He showed us photos and videos of interesting things as well as the sites on our tour. The tour itself was very hot in July and lots of walking and stairs, FYI. Bring water, sunscreen, and a hat for sure. Comfortable walking shoes. No sites required modest dress code (like others with churches, Vatican, etc).
Tours can be can be cancelled on you last minute with no substitute horrible experience ruined our trip to Rome.
We are truly sorry that the last-minute cancellation had such a negative impact on your experience in Rome. Unfortunately, cancellations may occasionally occur due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. We sincerely apologize for the disappointment and inconvenience caused, and we remain at your disposal should you wish to discuss the matter further.
Our tour guide Stella was outstanding. She moved us with grace and impeccable timing. Her knowledge of Roman History and Culture was what made the tour so special. Thank you Stella, for an awesome experience. I would do it again in a minute
Giorgio was a great guide! Very knowledgeable and engaging between sharing facts and asking the group questions, which was helpful on a very hot day. We learned a lot of interesting things about Roman and Christian history!
Giorgio brought us on a historic journey through time explaining the significance of different sites spanning the Roman Forum, Palatine Hill and the Colosseum. Armed with book of illustrations depicting the scene from the past in comparison with the scene we see in front our eyes today, it made imagining the transformation of the sites more understandable and relatable. The entire tour took approximately 3 hours with sufficient of water/washroom breaks. All in all, the tour was informative and well worth the cost.
Overall, the guided tour was incredibly enriching. It not only deepened my understanding of Roman history but also made the experience far more engaging than exploring on my own.
Our tour of the Colosseum and Roman Forum was wonderful. The guide was nice, informative, attentive, and very knowledgeable. She led the tour at a perfect rhythm, making stops in the shade and cooler places to give us a chance to rest, while at the same time sharing interesting stories and historical context. Nothing felt rushed, but we also never got bored. Unfortunately, I don’t remember her name. The tour was organized by Towns of Italy and was conducted in Spanish. Based on our experience, I can definitely recommend them.
