Was so glad I booked this tour as I was traveling solo after friends left for home the day prior. Hadn’t been to Trastevere since first visit 38 years prior so wanted to experience what it had become and taste the foods of that part of Rome. Our guide Ana was exceptional and shared her love of food and background of each place on the tour that made it very enjoyable. This is a tour would recommend to anyone who wants to get a glimpse of Trastevere and places/shops/restaurants to discover!
Was a lovely way to kick off our holiday in Rome. Our guide Anna was enthusiastic and humorous, always repeating that good food has zero calories. It was extremely hot, but walking distances were short and we made several stops. The food was plenty and you will be full by the end, so don’t eat before.
Theresa was an excellent guide! We thoroughly enjoyed this tour—all of the food was fantastic and we left full and happy. It was a great introduction to the Trastevere area.
Gianluca was a friendly, knowledgable and gregarious local guide. He asked the group to introduce themselves, which really helped to break the ice and got us all talking to each other. We went to 4 different places to eat, starting with cheese, pork bruschetta and wine. Then a range of pizza and mozzarella fried snacks (sorry!) and beer. 3rd was a local restaurant with tomato pasta and more wine, before finishining off with a delicious gelato. We saw all of the beautiful and atmospheric sights of Trestavere develop as the night got busier. A great trip and a wonderful experience. Dont eat before you go and get ready for a full and intetesting evening.
