This gossipy historical walking tour walks you through some of London's most elegant and expensive areas. You will hear about the many scandals that have occurred amongst the British upper classes whilst sometimes going off the beaten track and discovering local's London. The tour is designed to be conversational and interactive. The guide Terry Silvers teaches History in a college when not tour guiding He is also a qualified City of Westminster tour guide but above all sees the tour as a love letter to his home town London.

We start by visiting a picture of Lucifer patron saint of the idle and self indulgent. Some of the rich have used their wealth to improve the lives of their fellow human beings. None of these good people make any appearance on this tour! This tour is designed to enable you to hear stories of lust, greed and vanity from centuries past.
London's first shopping mall is very high end and sets the tone for the interactive walking experience that you have just started. Maybe think a little bit about if money is no object how might it effect your morals?
One of the world's most exclusive auction houses has witnessed many a scandal over the years. The neighbourhood is where Nell Gwyn one of the most famous mistresses of the Merry Monarch Charles 11 lived. Nell had a particular talent for money grabbing in all matters to do with the King. Do you admire her ambition in a world which had few opportunities for women or do you dislike her morals?
Love games took place here between the Tudor King Henry V111 and his second wife Anne Boleyn five hundred years ago. Subsequent centuries were to be equally scandal filled!!!
Charles 1 walked here to his execution on a cold January morning in 1649. Some people remember him as a Martyr Saint, but is it possible to be a Saint when you knowingly lie? Much else that has happened in this Park over the centuries is far from Saintly!!!
The Old Queen is Anne from three hundred years ago most recently brought back to life in the film `The Favourite` which depicted her as part of a bitter lesbian love triangle. Are we just discussing gossip History for a bit of fun or is there something to learn about human nature here?

This is a wonderful way to explore beyond the swanky shop fronts of Mayfair and appreciate the details of the area's history. We had a wonderful time on this tour. Whereas other tours just tell about buildings and battles, this tour focused on colorful royals. Terry told fabulous stories about William IV and other royals while showing us where they lived and played. The two hours flew by. Highly recommended!

A both funny and educational tour through London. We highly recommend taking the tour. While the weather was horrible and we where the only two not canceling, Terry still went through with the "show", which was quilte the service.
