Harry Potter Good, Driver Bad

The time at Warner Brothers Studio facility was excellent. I wish we had had more time. We had the 1:45 departure, but our bus did not arrive until a few minutes past 2 p.m. and we did not depart until closer to 2:10 p.m. The ride out to the studio is longer than you might think given traffic, etc. Expect the WB studio tour to be crowded and there is way too much to see and do in only three-ish hours when you’ve got kids who want to look at everything and buy everything. So, I would recommend the earlier departure. The studio tour is set up in two halves with some of the most kid-friendly stuff first, and there is a dining hall/break in the middle. The second half of the tour has more of the artistry toward the end and it can be something to go through more quickly if your party is tired. The big gift shop at the end can be overwhelming, so give yourself plenty of time or even browse online before arriving. The worst part of our trip was the driver for the bus back to London. He very oddly climbed into the bus and blocked people with his body while checking them in and then had climb out to let people board. No one was storming the bus. He could have just stood the side and checked people in and it would have been smoother. We had two reservations under different names and when we told him both names at the same time (e.g., “Smith and Johnson”) so he could just check off both, he became very frustrated with us and seemed pretty angry. So we started over, with him barricading the bus entrance. My friend said “Smith” and he checked off Smith, climbed down, let them on, climbed back in, blocking the entrance, and I said “Johnson” and he checked me off, climbed back down and let me in. Very inefficient and scary to think he could not remember two names at the same time. Several people who had gotten on at Marble Arch pickup were asking if we could be dropped off at the Victoria location on the way home instead, and he didn’t seem to understand this either and at Marble Arch yelled that people who had gotten on at Marble Arch needed to get off. Finally another passenger explained this to him and we continued on the journey. Again, while the Harry Potter stuff was great, I can’t say I would recommend this particular service provider given the late pickup and rude driver.

Fantastic see for HP fans!

Any fans of the Harry Potter film should not miss this! I will say we didn’t have enough time to fully explore (we wanted to read every description) so we had to rush through the tasty food, gift shops and second half of the tour. If you want more than 4 hours than try to find separate travel. With that said it was very convenient to use the provided bus and easy to find (Victoria coach station follow the instructions given) if you want to use this tour and think 4 hours is plenty than just be aware you have 4 hours which are 2 giant spaces, a courtyard, food and gift shops so try and time it better than we did.

This was a great...

This was a great experience all around. I had actually missed my initial booking bus due to traffic and the tour group was extremely helpful. I simply called the number and they got me on the next bus. Unfortunately, I was in London during the hottest days it's experienced in decades so that definitely impacted the experience on the bus. But they do indeed have fans and cool air making the ride much more comfortable. The people coordinating us getting us there were fantastic. That's not even to mention the amazing tour itself. The one thing I'd note is your time is limited due to their coordinating buses back and forth. So if you want longer than 4 hours (which trust me, you can easily spend given all the different exhibits and rooms to explore), you may want to consider another option that allows for more time. However, if that timeframe is great for you and if you don't have a car and you're a huge Harry Potter fan, I would say book this. It will make your trip there and back very convenient.

An Amazing Experience

Was in London for my first time and I knew I needed to do something Harry Potter. This was a slightly emotional experience being on various sets because I am a HUGE fan. The transportation was about 1:15 each way, the staff are friendly and informative both for the bus and on site. You explore at your own pace and there is SO much to take in. I definitely plan on doing this again when I come back with family.

I went with William Emma and Emma’s mom to Harry Potter studios when I walked in to the the grate hall I was amazed and I absolutely loved the tour so much it was like being in the films and I didn’t realize how much effort they put in to making the 7th films. I will always like Harry Potter.

Love the tour. Need more time.

Loved this. My only issue is that we did not have enough time. 4 hours is the minimum you need. 6 would have been best.

Harry Potter Tour

Harry Potter is worth all the traveling you have to do. It takes about 1 to 1.5 hrs to get to the studios from the bus station. I would rate it as good or better than any of the universal tours in the US. You just have to make sure that you ask questions at the site. Viator gives a gps meeting point and its never exactly where it is you have to ask around to find out where to go. Theres another Harry Potter tour just around the corner from this one and most people went there first as we did before we found a person who really knew.
