The Eduardo VII Park is the starting point of the visit. This is the largest urban park in the city centre and offers a wide view of the Lower Lisbon and the Tejo River, allowing a first geographic and urban reading of the capital.
The Lisbon Cathedral, located in Largo da Sé, is the oldest temple in the city, dating back to the 12th century. With a predominantly Romanesque style, it reflects the history of Lisbon since its Christian foundation, being an essential witness to religious and urban life over the centuries.
The Miradouro das Portas do Sol is one of the city’s most emblematic viewpoints, offering a privileged view of the Alfama neighborhood, the traditional casario and the Tejo River, being an ideal spot to understand Lisbon’s historic identity.
The Miradouro da Senhora do Monte, located at one of the highest points in the city, offers one of the most complete panoramic views of Lisbon, allowing you to simultaneously observe several hills, historic neighborhoods and the Estuary of the Tejo.

The National Park, located in the eastern part of Lisbon, represents modern and contemporary Lisbon. With innovative architecture, green areas, cultural spaces and the proximity of the Tejo River, this place shows the contrast and harmony between the historic Lisbon and the contemporary city.

I prearranged a pick up and a 4 hour driving tour of Lisbon with Simply Transfer and Tour after our cruise ended in Lisbon. Andre, the owner, promptly answered my emails before our arrival and there he was waiting for us at the assigned time at the cruise terminal. His Mercedes van was clean and roomy, especially for us with lots of luggage! Andre not only dressed professionally but had a professional demeanor as well and spoke very good English. He showed us the important sites, open markets and we even had time for an espresso and famous Portuguese custard tarts. Throughout the guided drive, we felt well taken care of, safe and relaxed. So much so, we booked his service to take us to the airport a few days later. Next time we return to Portugal, we'll use his service again.
