PRIVATE TOUR Full Day to Sintra, Roca Cape and Cascais

We all had so much fun with Nuno on the Sintra tour we booked another tour with him to Fatima, Nazarre and Obidos - all we could say afterwards was “wow!” We had such an excellent time - Nuno is “family” to all 5 of us now! Linda, Marlene, Mike, Mark and Laura 😎

Amazing driver, highly reliable, luxury van, he was very flexible but most importantly super knowledgeable about the history of Portugal and the palaces we saw. He even bought us some sweets in Sintra on his own. Will definitely use again when we return.

A superb guide; informative, considerate, resourceful, very helpful & extremely good fun. Made it a truly memorable day. Nothing was too much trouble. Really knows his stuff and speaks excellent English. It was a difficult day because of bad weather in the morning but Joao made sure that there was plenty to do and see when the initial plan started to get washed out. If you choose Joao you feel you have made a fantastic new friend and you will be very well looked after. First class and highly recommended!

Can’t say enough about wonderful Nuno is and knowledgeable. He gave us options all day to see as much, or as little as we were up for. He offered good ideas at every stop and we never waited in ques longer than 15 minutes. He called venues and restaurants ahead of our arrival to make sure we were on the most sensible timeline. We really enjoyed Sintra’s historic shopping center and pastels de nada, walked to the entrance of one castle, then rode to Pena Palace, saw the cape after lunch, ice cream and dipping our feet in the water in Caisais and then home. Our tour was about 10 hours.

Highly recommend using the services of the excellent and rare tour guide Nuno. Organizes trips in Lisbon and beyond as well as in Porto. Nuno is from Lisbon with many years of experience in tours and this is evident everywhere we went and in every explanation we received from him. We did a day trip with him outside of Lisbon including Pena Palace, Sintra, Cabo da Roca, Cascais and other lovely beaches and corners in an area that only Nuno knows. Nuno picked us up from the hotel in a spacious, air-conditioned car with wifi. We experienced an amazing and quality day with him including a meal at a vegetarian restaurant at our request, excellent in Cascais. Having our own driver was the best way to enjoy this magical day. Picked up at our hotel, we bought tickets online on the way for the Park, Moorish Castle and Pena Palace at 11:30. We entered the park about 9:15 and went straight to Moorish. We LOVED this hike that took about an hour plus a WC break at the end. Driver was waiting and took us to Palace. Queue for 11:30 admission was already forming near the palace door. We were inside about an hour and then walked the gardens a bit on way back to driver. We then went to Sintra old town to shop and lunch. Then off to western most point of Europe and a drive to Caiscais for a walk along pretty beach and shops. A terrific day made even better by an attentive driver and our own pace. Perfect!

Nuno was an excellent guide who went out of his way to make sure our tour of Sintra was a great experience. He had a true passion for Portugal, was incredibly knowledgeable, and was great with the kids. Highly recommended.
