The Bode Museum: A magnificent "water castle", captivating visitors right from its impressive equestrian statue in the glorious entrance hall—even before stepping into its outstanding collections of Byzantine art, sculptures, and coins.
The Pergamon Museum: A world-famous museum—and currently an equally famous construction site. A fascinating "substitute" for the closed Pergamon Museum: Here, you can learn all about the history of the Pergamon Altar and explore a captivating exhibition dedicated to this iconic monument.

The New, Old Palace: Discover its controversial history, remarkable architecture, and the museums it now houses.
The Old National Gallery: An impressive temple of art, home to 19th-century masterpieces ranging from Romanticism to Impressionism.
The architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel's masterpiece: The former 'Royal Museum'—Prussia's first purpose-built museum, designed to make art accessible to the people.
The New Museum: An architectural masterpiece, beautifully restored after the destruction of World War II. Its fascinating collection includes the world-famous bust of Nefertiti—a highlight of ancient art that adds to the unique charm of this museum.

Was a bit reluctant at first but my wife insisted and we both absolutely loved it. Klaus gave us ssh! insider stories and facts about Museum Island and the surrounding area. Afterwards we bought a day ticket for the Museums and with Klaus hot tips chose a few things we wouldn't have known about. A highlight of our Berlin trip. Thanks Klaus!
I am so happy to hear that your convinced you ;-) and that you loved it and had a great time in the museums afterwards! Huge thanks for taking the time to leave a review.
Berlin Museum Island is a grand total work of art: five world-renowned museums dating back to the days of the Prussian monarchs... to discover and rediscover.
Merci beaucoup !
We had a great time with Mr. Klaus Wehner as our tour guide. It was one of the best guided tour we have ever had, and we have had so many. Mr Wehner showed us the marvels of Berlin around the Musuem Island at a very comfortable pace. His insights and knowledge were only topped by his intellectual commentary on the buildings and the artefacts along the route. We had our 7 year old son with us and Mr Wehner was kind enough to pace the tour accordingly. Strongly recommend him and the tour!
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! I'm well and truly happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour around Museum Island and that it stood out among your many experiences. It was a pleasure meeting you, and your kind words about the pace, insights, and commentary really mean a lot. Thank you again for the strong recommendation! All the best, Klaus
