Itinerary

25 min

The first stop is an invitation to open your eyes. The viewpoint of Mount Paxareiras offers a wide view over the estuary of Muros and Noia, where the sea enters the land with Atlantic softness. From here you understand the complexity of the Galician landscape: green hills descending towards the water, small sheltered beaches and villages that seem to lean on the slope. It is the perfect place to take perspective (geographical and emotional) before continuing to the more open coast.

35 min

The next landmark is a rare natural spectacle in Europe: the Ézaro waterfall. The Xallas River, after traversing the Galician interior, rushes directly over the ocean in a powerful fall that breaks against the granite rock. The environment, with intense gray and green tones, creates an almost theatrical scene where water is the absolute protagonist. The visit allows you to approach the base of the waterfall and feel the energy of the place, especially when the flow is generous.

Pass by

We circulate glued to the coast of the estuary of Corcubion, famous once for being shelter of ships during the storms. We also cross the villages of Cee and Corcubión, full of whaling history and trade with the Republic of Venice

55 min

The journey continues to the mythical Cape of Fisterra, for centuries considered the “end of the world”. Here the Atlantic unfolds without limits and the horizon seems infinite. The lighthouse, erected in the 19th century, guards the cliffs and has become a symbol for both navigators and pilgrims who prolong the Camino de Santiago to this end point. The wind, changing light and constant sound of the sea make the stop an intense and memorable experience.

90 min

At the foot of the cape is the village of Fisterra, a seaport with a marked identity. Its narrow streets, fish market and boats remind us that here the sea is not landscape, but way of life. The tour includes free time to stroll through the city centre and enjoy local cuisine, where seafood and fresh fish occupy the centre of the table. It is a time to relax and taste the Atlantic essence calmly.

40 min

In the afternoon, the route leads to Muxía, where the sanctuary of the Virgin of the Boat is perched in front of the ocean in an overwhelming enclave. According to tradition, the Virgin arrived here in a stone boat to encourage the apostle James in his preaching. The rock formations surrounding the temple feed the legend and add a symbolic dimension to the landscape. The contrast between the sober architecture of the sanctuary and the force of the sea creates an atmosphere of natural recollection and grandeur.

Pass by

We are bordering the entire river of Camariñas with beautiful landscapes and also cross the village of Camariñas, famous for its lace and history of shipwrecks

The last stop is Cape Vilan, one of the most spectacular and rugged points on the Costa da Morte. Its lighthouse, a pioneer in the use of electricity in Spain, rises on steep cliffs that descend into an indomitable ocean. The maritime history of the area, marked by shipwrecks and the constant need for guidance, is clearly visible here. It is a resounding closure to the day, with open views and a sense of extreme territory.

Beautiful Way to End Camino Walk

The tour guide spoke in Spanish and then English for the entire trip. She was interesting and informative without being overbearing so there was time to just enjoy the scenery. She had a sense of humor and a very pleasant manner It felt like a perfect amount of time and each stop. I never felt rushed nor that I just had to stand around and wait The only down side is not the tour operators fault, but a fact of nature to just be aware of. Some of the road is a little winding and after lunch I felt a tad of motion sickness. If you are prone to this I would suggest some preparation I’m truly glad I took the day for this trip

That the audio guide in...

That the audio guide in French is very brief and not complete. The last three capsules are not in French. We were not informed that we needed our phones and headphones to listen to the comments in French. What a shame.

Wonderful way to end a trip to Santiago

Daniel or Danny was very good in English/Spanish but he knew Italian too. Explained, gave indications and answerd all our questions. We enjoyed great nature as well as cultural and heritage sites. The bus driver was the top too, how does he manage on those tiny roads? Great experience. Well done!

Our great day to "Finis Terre"

After walking the Coastal Camino, Our group enjoyed a Toxo Travel private tour for our last day in Santiago de Compostela. We traveled to Finisterre and Muxia, along the coast and visited the beautiful Ezaro waterfall... Our Driver was wonderful, very interesting, helped us find a fantastic lunch, was a perfect gentleman shepherding our group of gals around for the best pictures, places and views. Thanks Toxo Travel for our final and very memorable day in Galicia, Spain

Nice tour for after the camino

Fun tour that takes you to all the highlights of Muxia and Fininsterra. And plenty of time to look around for yourself. Just a pity that in Finisterra there was no opportunity to visit the beach.

Operator response

Thank you very much for your review! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the tour and that you had enough time to explore both Muxía and Fisterra at your own pace. We hope to see you again on another tour in the future!
