Itinerary
Perast is one of the best-preserved towns on the entire Adriatic coast. It forms part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Natural and Culturo-Historical Region of Kotor. Venetian-era palaces, squares, and churches are beautifully preserved as reminders of Perat’s golden age as a trading port and maritime training center.
Our Lady of the Rocks is one of the two islets off the coast of Perast in the Bay of Kotor, Montenegro (the other being Sveti Đorđe island). It is an artificial island created by a bulwark of rocks and by sinking old and seized ships loaded with rocks. The Catholic Church of Our Lady of the Rocks is the largest building on the islet and has a museum attached to it. There is also a small gift shop close to the church and a navigation light at the western end of the islet.
We return to Kotor and go to Dub, where we start the cable car ride. During the cable car ride, you will have the chance to enjoy amazing views of Kotor, and the whole bay. You will go from 65m to 1350m above sea level in only 11 minutes. When we arrive at the top, you will have some free time to enjoy the views, have a refreshment, or authentically try local delicacies!
The old town – that is the most famous part of Kotor, where the Kotor history, culture, and tradition are being preserved. The old town of Kotor has a great number of monuments of medieval architecture: churches, cathedrals, palaces, and museums. Its beauty is complemented by the multitude of narrow streets, squares, and markets. The old town of Kotor stands out also by the great number of stylishly made gates, palaces of wealthy families, and a great number of stairs. The old nucleus of Kotor today is considered to be the best preserved medieval urban entity in the Mediterranean. The largest and the most impressive are, by all means, city bulwarks which surround the town.

We had an amazing experience, and Nikola was a big reason why! From the very beginning, communication was excellent, making everything easy, seamless, and stress-free. Teo's knowledge of Nikola, its history, and local culture was outstanding. He shared fascinating stories and countless helpful insights that brought each stop to life, and made the experience even more meaningful and enjoyable. His passion for the island was evident throughout the tour and added so much depth to what we saw and learned. Beyond his expertise, Nikola has a wonderful personality—friendly, engaging, and genuinely committed to making sure everyone has a memorable time. He struck the perfect balance between being informative and entertaining, allowing us to learn so much while having fun. We would highly recommend both this tour and Nicolato anyone visiting Montenegro. Thank you, Nikola, for turning a wonderful tour into an unforgettable experience. Five stars all the way!
Beautiful tour with a very friendly guide. It was very interesting to learn about the country. Thank you!!!
Yuk was a great guide who was passionate about showing us his country. He was a very safe driver and atuned to our needs. We enjoyed learning the history of Montenegro, seeing the area from the cable cars and even a personal pass by of Novak’s home when he learned I was a fan. You will not be disappointed with this tour!
Great all round experience, worth every penny. If you want a personal and tailored tour, this is the one to do. From pickup at the port, we were on touch with the operator by WhatsApp, we were shown round Kotor by an experienced and knowledgeable guide. We didn't need to worry about anything, all taken care of. Air conditioned vehicle, we had the luxury of spending more time where we wanted, no rush. We went up in the cable car, went on the toboggan ride and the new falcon view coaster. (Cable car included, we wanted to do the other 2 rides so paid extra). We went on to visit the gorgeous town of Perast and Our Lady of the Rocks by boat trip which was included in the price, and finished up in the old town. If you want a truly tailor made tour, and want the luxury of being looked after, this tour is not to be missed. Highly recommended, we loved it
Our guide was very good. He shared so much wonderful information and history on Montenegro. The cable car was fantastic and he took the fear of heights away for me. We have recommended this tour to so many since our fabulous experience.
Luka was a wonderful tour guide showing us the highlights of Kotor. We started with a boat ride to the Lady of the Rock with stunning views. Then went to the cable car to see even better views. Finally we stepped back in time with shopping in Old Town.
We had a beautiful day in Kotor. It truly was one of our favorite stops on our cruise. The church was beautiful, and the views from the cable car at the top of Kotor were breathtaking. Our guide, Wolf, was fantastic. He knew tons of history, drove us around in a private vehicle and shared his personal life experiences with us too. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and hope to return to Kotor in the future.
Vassily was fantastic. He gave clear explanations of the culture of Kotor and carefully explained the sights on the tour. The cable car ride was the highlight and the Lady of the Rocks Church was unique. This was a tour suitable for almost everyone..
