The whole adventure starts with a nice dip inside the Blue Cave, a natural phenomenon that's been created by waves crashing for thousands of years at the Lustica peninsula. The name derives from the whole ambiance, created by iridescent lightning that manifests itself on the water due to the Sun's radiance through small cave cracks.
We will make a brief stop next to Mamula Island, on which prison was made in 1853. Mamula Island served as NOTORIOUS PRISON during both world wars known as “Kampo Mamula”
Going past an old Yugoslavian army base called “Pristan” we will make a stop in one of the three submarine tunnels used during the Second World War to hide and repair submarines

This is a man-made islet, built upon a crag that bore the icon of the Holy Mother Mary, and it houses a church that's been built by seafarers and other locals to honor the graceful Mother Mary. It is a place where visitors can listen to the mystical story about the island's genesis, as well as examine the many paintings, votives, and other art pieces inside the museum, attached to the church. Fun, beautiful tour with an exceptional captain. We took the 3pm private tour. We went to the Blue Cave, stopping for a brief history lesson about Mamula along the way. They give you 20 minutes to swim at the cave. Just a forewarning, the water is cold at first (in June) but you get used to it quite quickly. After leaving the cave we went to the submarine tunnel and then Our Lady of the Rocks. If you want to beat the crowds at the tender (Explorer of the Seas) then skip getting out and walking around here. It'll also save you the cost of docking and going into the church and museum. We got back to the tender line at 5:30pm which was great, right before the line for tender got insanely long. Two adults and two teenagers had a blast on the speedboat.
Nice typical boat. We went to all the local attractions. Our captain was very pleasant but didn’t speak a ton of English. It was still worth it.
Captain and his mate were absolutely fabulous. Took care of all of our ages from 9 to 76. Very informative, very friendly, very flexible. Helped us on and off, answered questions, very informative of history and surroundings. Even shared the music list with my daughter who thought it was the coolest thing ever. I would highly recommend this group we’ve done several different tours and they were truly fantastic.
We booked a private speedboat tour through Selma, and she was absolutely wonderful to deal with. She was sweet, friendly, professional, honest, and on time. From the moment we booked, communication was smooth and straightforward, and she made the whole process easy and stress-free. What stood out most was her positive energy and genuine kindness. She was incredibly helpful and made sure everything was well organised so we could simply relax and enjoy our experience. I highly recommend booking through Selma. Her excellent customer service and warm personality made a great experience even better!
WOW WOW WOW!!! This was the best day of my 3 week long vacation to Europe! From the adorable Old Town to the private speedboat ride out on the beautiful Adriatic Sea, I cannot recommend this enough. I have dreamed of traveling to Europe for over 50 years, and this was the most magical day because of the GORGEOUS scenery. If you are inspired by charming storybook villages and breathtaking scenery, book this tour now!
It was wonderful. Miss Selma was very friendly and helpful.
Our guides were fantastic and full of local knowledge. They took us to the furthest point of the tour first to get to the blue caves ahead of many of the other tours and pointed out places and interest along the way including the submarine tunnels from the Cold War era. After seeing the blue caves, we had some time for swimming. The water was cold and refreshing. On the way back, we chose to stop at Our Lady of the Rocks to visit the church. The only mistake we made was not putting on sunscreen before boarding the boat. Since the boat is going at a high speed, it isn’t possible to apply sunscreen while riding to the locations.
The private tour allowed us to customize it to our preferences. The scenery is unbelievable and swimming in the crystal clear blue water was amazing!
It was just a short walk from the cruise pier. It was very easy to find and the experience could not have been easier. It was an exceptional was to see the beauty of Kotor. The boat was comfortable. Our captain was very friendly and provided us a safe and fun few hours. The music on board kept us in a joyful mood throughout the tour. Our group of 8 had the best time! Thank you for a great excursion!
Really enjoyable way to see the coastline around the Bay of Kotor. We met the tour company rep right near the cruise ship terminal and she walked us to our boat. Our driver was great… not only knowledgeable about the area but was also good maneuvering the boat, ensuring that we didn’t hit large waves or get caught the wake of other boats. We saw the blue caves, submarine tunnel, Our Lady of the Rocks and Saint George Island. We opted not to swim near the blue caves but could have done so. Highly recommend this tour!
