Itinerary
It was created in honour of a special stone two fishermen found, as it had an image of St. Mary chiseled into its side. From then on, local sailors and fishermen alike threw stones where the Lady had been found, vowing to honour the spot of this unlikely discovery. Inside the church, you’ll be able to explore a vast collection of votive tablets and various works by renown painter Tripo Kokolja, a Kotor native regarded as a master of his craft. You’ll also be able to view the Icon of Our Lady of the Rocks, one of the many wonders you’ll find in these fairytale. On this island you must be dressed appropriately so that you can enter the island and visit the museum without any problems.
Your friendly skipper will meet you in Kotor, eager to greet and help you onboard. Enjoy all manner of mesmerizing sights and local wonders as you approach your first stop, the wondrous islet of Our Lady of the Rocks.
Once you are done touring the island, you will then travel to a submarine tunnel from the Yugoslavian Socialist period. Although this tunnel has since been abandoned, it is still open to the public, and you will have the rare opportunity to explore this piece of history up close.
From there, you will journey to the “mouth” of the Bay, where Mamula Island stands. Although it used to be an Austro-Hungarian prison, it has since transformed into a beautiful island resort. Enjoy the panoramic views Mamula Island can offer you, a uniquely entertaining and historical stop.
Up next on your journey is the mesmerizing Blue Cave. So named for its shimmering waters, the first sight of Blue Cave will leave you breathless, as if you had been transported to another world. Enjoy swimming near the cave’s entrance as you wrap up your tour, an enchanting experience you’ll be sure to remember.
The village of Perast will greet you with open arms. Baroque architecture surrounds the village on all sides, stretching into the mountainous landscape above. Try to look for the palaces across Perast, each one owned by an important captain in Montenegro’s illustrious navy. If you are a fan of history, you can browse through the maritime Perast Museum.

We booked this as an excursion as our cruise ship was in port for one day and needed something else to do after visiting old town for a couple of hours. Our guide Miloš was fantastic and tailored the tour to what we wanted. The stops were pretty crowded, but to be expected on a cruise ship day. Overall, the value was fantastic and would have been happy had we paid more. No need to hesitate if you’re considering.
A perfect day, worth every penny. Captain Marco really tried his best, he explained each location to us, he was worried every moment if everything was ok... Very good captain. All five and for a company that has such staff.
The boat ride was enjoyable. It takes an hour and 20 minutes to get from the starting point to the blue cave. I recommend going in the morning because apparently the water looks more blue. My tour was at noon and we arrived at 1:20, so the cave was more dark but still cool to swim in. Our tour stopped in Perast instead of Our Lady of the Rocks. Next time I want to see Our Lady of the Rocks inside. I do also wish the tour would provide some bottled water. I think they usually do but maybe they ran out when I was there.
The boat was comfortable, spacious, and very well organised, and the crew were friendly and professional throughout the tour. Everything matched the description perfectly, including snorkeling equipment and life jackets available on board for all guests. Safety was clearly taken seriously, and the captain made everyone feel comfortable during the entire trip. The group size was appropriate for the boat, with enough space for everyone to sit comfortably and enjoy the views. Boarding and drop-off were smooth and well organised as well. The visit to Our Lady of the Rocks was one of the highlights of the tour. The entrance fee was clearly explained in advance with no surprises, and we had enough free time to explore and take photos. Those who preferred to stay on the boat could still enjoy a beautiful open view of the island and surroundings. We also had plenty of time for swimming, relaxing, and cruising through the stunning Bay of Kotor. The captain was knowledgeable, accommodating, and made the whole experience enjoyable from beginning to end. Excellent communication before the tour and overall a very professional company. One of the best experiences we had in Montenegro, I can say easy 5 stars!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review and kind words! We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour, especially the atmosphere on board, the visit to Our Lady of the Rocks, and the swimming stops in the Bay of Kotor. Guest safety, comfort, and a professional experience are always our priorities, so your feedback truly means a lot to our team. It was a pleasure having you with us, and we hope to welcome you again on your next visit to Montenegro!
All about driving fast and crashing over waves rather than appreciating scenery and sights.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the tour did not match your expectations. Our tours are designed to combine sightseeing with a dynamic speedboat experience, which many guests enjoy as part of the adventure on the sea. However, safety always remains our top priority, and the boat is operated according to sea conditions and maritime regulations. We understand that some guests prefer a slower and more relaxing style of tour focused entirely on the scenery, and we truly respect that. At the same time, describing the ride as “crashing over waves” does not reflect the intention or professionalism of our skipper, whose responsibility is to provide both a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone on board. We appreciate your opinion and will continue working to ensure all guests clearly understand the nature of the tour before booking.
Do NOT book with this company. 1. They advertise that they have life jackets and snorkel equipment, they don’t have either on board. 2. They took 12 people on a 9 person boat, and due to police being at the shore they left us a km away from the start point. 3. They advertise 5EUR charge for lady of the rocks but will ask for 10EUR onboard. Also, those who don’t pay, will just sit on the boat for 30 mins (and the captain ensured the view to lady of the rocks was blocked). I even reached out to Viator and the company for an explanation on these points but no response.
Dear guest, We are sorry to read this review, but we must clearly state that several claims made here are not accurate. First, it is not true that our boat does not have life jackets. We are legally required to have them on board; without life jackets, we could not operate or obtain the necessary working permit. After the tour, we also spoke with the skipper, who confirmed that he asked the guests if anyone needed a life jacket. Life jackets are safety equipment intended for rescue and emergency situations, not regular swimming, but even so, we were willing to provide them if requested. Second, our boat is officially registered for 12 passengers, not 9, so the claim that we overloaded the boat is incorrect. Regarding the drop-off point, guests were not left 1 km away from the starting location. The actual distance was approximately 250 meters. This was not done by our choice, but because of a police situation on the sea at that moment. We were forced to finish the tour there due to circumstances beyond our control. Regarding Our Lady of the Rocks, the entrance fee is not determined by us. Guests who do not wish to pay the island fee unfortunately cannot enter the island, as this is the island’s rule, not ours. Since there were two guests that day, the skipper mentioned €10 referring to the total for two people, which may have caused a misunderstanding. We always try to be fair, transparent, and professional with every guest. However, we cannot accept false statements that damage our reputation and mislead future travelers. Our company operates legally, safely, and with all required equipment on board. Guest safety is always our priority. Kind regards, Vuko.
Excellent experience within the bay of Kotor as well as into the Adriatic. In my opinion the “Submarine Cave” was the most amazing part of this boat tour.
Thank you so much for you nice review, Hope to see you again on our boat. Kind regards, Vuko.
Great experience. Water was rough though so you need to be careful not to get whiplash. We sat at the front so it felt like a roller-coaster! Our captain was Milosh and he gave a great tour and history. Price was on ✴️
The boat is very fast and it is 3 hours. Beautiful scenery and nice info from the driver. Definitely highlight of our Kotor trip
Thank you so much for your feedback!
Fantastic trip. Tour guide took us to all of yhe featured destinations and then at the end, gave us the option of either landing on the Lady of Rocks, or stopping at Perast for 40 mins; we chose Perast, which was a treat. The submarine cave was cool, albeit brief, and the highlight was swimming in the blue cave. Don't hesitate, do this tour.
Thank you for your great review! We’re glad you enjoyed the tour and had a chance to experience Perast as well. The Blue Cave is definitely a favorite for many guests, and we’re happy it was the highlight of your trip too. Thank you for the recommendation, and we hope to see you again in Kotor!
