We had a great time and our tour guide Jose was very accommodating and informative. I highly recommend.
Jose was an outstanding tour guide. He demonstrated deep knowledge of the history and culture of the area, answered every question thoroughly, and kept the us engaged the whole time. The itinerary was well-planned and he was very organized. I would gladly book another tour with them and highly recommend them to anyone visiting Lisbon
Unfortunately, the castles were all closed due the fires in the north. We changed the date once and assumed we would be able to see the outside or something... we saw very little of what was scheduled. We drove back and forth from Sintra to Cascais, in the car more than anything. The tour guide tried to kill some time and tried to show us some other nonsense sites so I can't blame him but shame on the tour organization for not letting us know and cancelling/refunding our money. Vacation is a precious few days and while i understand you didn't want to lose money, my time is valuable!!!!
We had a most enjoyable tour thanks to our great guide and driver, Jose. He was extremely informative and had a great sense of humor. The highlight of our tour was Caba da Roca, which is the Western most point on the European continent. Cascais was a beautiful beachside resort village along with Sintra. An overall great day trip!
It is all about the guide and we had the best. Jose made sure he understood what we wanted to see and had other suggestions as well. We asked him to take us off the bitten path and show us the sites not so visited by tourists. Yes, we saw the typical landmarks but also areas were the locals visit. He was informative, happy, great humor and very well read. We absolutely enjoyed this tour.
Had an incredible day with Jose doing a custom tour of Cabo de Roca, Pena Palace, lunch at a delicious seafood spot on the beach, and other fun stops. Jose offered a wealth of knowledge about Portuguese history and culture, with local recommendations. He was responsive to our specific requests about how we spent our time. He is full of personality and a lot of fun to be with. We felt like we were being shown around town with a friend. Highly recommend!
Jose was a fantastic, energetic and knowledgeable guide. He personalized the day to our interests. Even after our tour he forwarded additional info which was very much appreciated.
José was a very knowledgable guide with a quick wit! Drove us to a few other nice spots that was not on the list and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Also gave us some history information about the tour of the National Palace of Pena ( but we had to pay extra to get into the palace)
Our driver was amazing. I have used Viator in various countries over several years and not once have I been let down or disappointed! I do not hesitate to use any private tour operator through this site!
Great sites are Regeilera and Sintra. Wish we had more time at Regeilera and a better expectation of the time it would take to see the grounds. The rest of the stops were underwhelming. Karina was a sport in dealing with all the traffic.
