It is also an opportunity to learn to recognize quality oils, production techniques and local cultivars. It will be possible not only to understand the difference in taste between the different oils, but also to understand how to combine them.

What a great 20 minutes! Tasted six different olive oils - had never done this before and didn’t know it was even a ‘thing’! We were taught how to understand what great olive oil tastes like. In addition we were given breads with local savoury and jams which came as an added surprise. The host was very friendly and after we purchased a couple of oils she gave us a free one too. 20 minutes is the perfect amount of time and it cost less than £9 per person. The venue is made up of three shops so as well as oil you can buy wine, ceramics and gifts. Definitely worth a visit.
Presentation was done by knowledgable, friendly woman with a very organized presentation. She had no trouble communicating to us in English. We learned more than we had anticipated. We highly recommend this presentation on olive trees and olive oil. It was an absolute pleasure to meet her and learn so much.

We had an amazing time at the oil tasting tour, sampling all sorts of oils that showcased a wonderful variety of flavors and aromas. Each tasting was a delightful journey through different regions and styles, opening our eyes to the subtle complexities of olive oils. Antonella wrapped up the experience with a surprise that truly made the visit unforgettable. If you’re a fan of culinary adventures or just curious about olive oil, this tour is definitely worth the visit!

We had the tasting in a small shop. The lady was very friendly and told us a lot about olive oils made in Monopoli. We also bought some oils to enjoy at home.
It was nearly impossible to find this place. When we finally arrived the first thing we noticed was a big sign in front of the store which read “come in for a FREE olive oil tasting”. After the tasting we were encouraged to buy their over priced olive oil. Trip Advisor should be ashamed to promote this event. I would like a refund!

Nel suo caso è obbligo fare alcune precisazioni: - Ha prenotato un oil tasting professionale tenuto da un professionista che oltre all'assaggio degli oli fornisce informazioni sulla storia dell'olivicoltura locale e sulle tecniche di estrazione dell'olio. Un'esperienza più completa rispetto al semplice assaggio, che richiede molto più tempo e per questo anche un piccolo, quasi simbolico, contributo. - Nessun partecipante è obbligato a comprare i nostri prodotti. E' stato lei, senza alcuna costrizione, ad aver acquistato i nostri oli nonostante qui li definisce "costosi" (forse non sarà stato attento durante il tasting). - Nel suo caso è opportuno fare anche un passo indietro. Ha prenotato l'oil tasting per lunedì alle ore 17, salvo poi chiedere il rinvio alla stessa ora del giorno dopo. Il martedì si è presentato con oltre 20 minuti di ritardo imputandoci la difficoltà nell'individuazione della location (eppure ci troviamo nella strada principale del centro storico e le indicazioni sono molto chiare). Penso che non ci sia altro da aggiungere. Del resto le altre recensioni su questo portare raccontano ben altro. Per fortuna. Saluti Gianni
