In the heart of Lisbon, the imposing Gothic ruins of the Convent do Carmo recall the great earthquake of 1755. Next to it, the charming Plaza do Carmo offers a quiet environment, surrounded by historic palaces, the famous GNR and picturesque cafes. A place where history and beauty meet.
Installed in the old Monastery of St. Benedict, the Assembly of the Republic is a symbol of Portuguese democracy. With an imposing Neoclassical facade and a privileged location on the Estrela, the building impresses by its history, architecture and national political importance.
The Basilica da Estrela is one of the most beautiful churches in Lisbon, with a grand white dome dominating the city's horizon. Built in the 18th century by order of Queen D. Maria I, it combines Baroque and Neoclassical architecture. Inside, there is the stunning cork basin of Machado de Castro and the colorful marble that covers the floor and walls. In front, the Garden of the Star invites you to rest in one of the city's most elegant corners.

We could not have asked for a better introduction to beautiful Lisbon! Diogo was a gem. He took some time to get to know us and understand our interests, then seemingly proceeded to tailor the tour exactly to us. The pace was perfect, with just the right amount of time at each stop, and he even added an extra spot ( who knew there was a Colosseum in Lisbon!) when detours created some traffic. We ended the day with a wonderful overview of the city and great understanding of Portugal’s fascinating history. All in all we could not have asked for a better day or tour guide to start our adventure in Portugal.

The guide was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He was very personable and engaging and, unfortunately, the experience was over too soon. He brought both the history of Lisbon and Portugal with a local knowledge of day to day personal modernize. I would highly recommend this tour and guide, Mr. Mezzadri.

My coworkers and I had a quick tour with Diogo during our layover in Lisbon. It was definitely the highlight of our trip! He was extremely thorough and knowledgeable (we learned he has a degree in History) and had the best energy. Made us feel very welcome and was definitely an excellent ambassador for the friendliness and hospitality of the Portuguese culture. We visited most of the tourist and historical places of the city, with excellent cost benefit and with the best quality of resource in history told by our Guide in relation to the tourist sights of Portugal. We took a lot of photos and took great advantage of the gastronomic points that are also part of Portuguese history. We stayed in Cintra and Fatima with the same Guide on a wonderful experience, we loved the tour.

I took the historical tour of Lisbon with my 6 year old daughter. I chose Outing because it shows security and responsibility. We were guided by Diogo, who was always very kind, respectful, polite, attentive to us and knew how to adapt the tour in a way that involved my daughter in the schedule as well. The company car is always clean, with wifi and water. The tour of the city was fascinating, very complete, we were able to learn about the history not only of Lisbon but also of the country. All the historical-cultural knowledge was passed on to us in great detail by the guide, who has a degree in history and shows passion for what he does, thus making us involved and enchanted.
