Start the day with private pickup from your hotel or agreed meeting point in Porto. Travel comfortably in a premium private vehicle toward Fátima. During the drive, your licensed driver-guide introduces the historical and cultural context of Fátima, including the rural setting of the shepherd children, the events of 1917 and the sanctuary’s growth as a global pilgrimage destination.
Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima — Orientation Arrive at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima and begin with a clear orientation to the layout, key locations and practical flow of the visit. This helps guests understand the sanctuary as a living place of prayer and pilgrimage.
Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity Visit or interpret the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity, Fátima’s major contemporary basilica. The visit focuses on symbolism, scale, modern sacred architecture, light and the basilica’s role in welcoming large numbers of pilgrims.
Prayer Area Walk Walk through the central Prayer Area, the open heart of Fátima. This is where processions, silence, devotion and large gatherings become visible, making the sanctuary feel like a living place of pilgrimage.
Chapel of Apparitions Spend time at the Chapel of Apparitions, the spiritual centre of Fátima and the place most directly associated with the apparitions. Guests may use this moment for prayer, reflection or quiet observation. Rosary at the Chapel of Apparitions When timing allows, attend or respectfully observe the Rosary at the Chapel of Apparitions. This moment offers one of the clearest ways to experience Fátima as a living pilgrimage destination.
Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fátima Visit or interpret the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fátima, the original monumental basilica of the sanctuary. Its traditional devotional atmosphere gives historical continuity to the visit.
Lunch and Free Time in Fátima Lunch is intentionally flexible and not included in the base price. Guests may choose a simple café, a relaxed restaurant near the sanctuary or additional personal time for prayer, reflection or revisiting specific areas.
Way of the Cross, Hungarian Calvary and Valinhos Continue to the Way of the Cross, the Hungarian Calvary and Valinhos. This reflective countryside route follows places associated with the shepherd children and offers a quieter, more contemplative experience beyond the main sanctuary.
Aljustrel — Shepherds’ Houses Visit Aljustrel, the village of the three shepherd children. The modest houses of Lúcia, Francisco and Jacinta give the story of Fátima its most human and rural dimension, connecting the global sanctuary back to family, simplicity and everyday life.

Bom dia. From start to finish Carlos is a winner. Carlos communicated well from the beginning. He graciously picked us up in our hotel. He was courteous and made my wife and I at ease immediately. The car was comfortable. He gave us an overview of the apparition of Fatima along the way. He educated us about Portugal's culture and specifically, Porto and it's neighboring city of Gaia. Carlos exudes a pleasing personality that makes your understanding of what he is saying enjoyable. He has a great sense of humor. He knows Fatima inside out. He has a special skill that makes you remember the significance of a place, statues or any structure. We were able to attend a full catholic mass inside the cathedral- this meant a lot to us as Catholics. Walking tour of the station of the cross, visits to the little shepherds houses were an incredible experience. On the return to our hotel, Carlos did a fantastic job of educating us on the Porto wines. The next day when my wife and I joined a Douro Valley wine tour, we felt like an "expert" after Carlos shared his knowledge on different types and classes of wine. Carlos was very helpful in pointing us to the right direction as far as locating an ATM machine, visiting the Mercado de Bolhao, and giving us references for certain stores we were looking for. It was indeed an amazing experience with Carlos and we highly recommend him to others. Gratidao, Carlos. You are second to none.
