Description
Travel to stunning Capri by fast ferry(not private boat) after met the guide. Wind along the famous Mamma Mia cliffside road, where you can snap some photos of a lifetime. Weather permitting,you will enter , by small boat, into the exquisite Blue Grotto, or Grotta Azzurra, to marvel at the glowing bluewater. The large cavern can only be reached by small boat through a narrow opening. Ride the chairlift from Anacapri to the peak of Monte Solaro to soak up spectacular views of the entire island. If you’re lucky, you will spot Mt. Vesuvius and Ischia Procida islands on the horizon. Afterwards, visit the beautiful Villa San Michele and its lush gardens. During your wanders, you will spot ancient artefacts nestled in the flora and fauna. Follow this with a visit to La Piazzetta, a quaint square lined with boutiques and cafes. Finally, visit the fabulous Augustus Gardens, where you can enjoy breath-taking views . Faraglioni, Capri’s famous rock formations, before your return journey.

Itinerary
Main port of Capri that you will reach from Naples or Sorrento by ferry . Ferry takes 50/60 minutes. ( if you already stay in Capri , your tour starts at the lobby and lasts 6 hours instead of 8)
By convertible car or a shuttle bus (depends on your group number) reach The Blue Grotto , as your first stop ( weather permitting , otherwise a sharing boat ride tour around the island will be included) .The cave will leave you speechless. Lying on board a small boat you will enter inside the entrance of the cave is about one meter high. Its blue water reflects on the rock creating a splendid effect.
Anacapri is the second stop of this day tour, a more peaceful place than Capri. Here you will also stop for lunch.
From Mount Solaro you can enjoy the most beautiful view of Capri. In Ancapri , Get on the chair lift and admire the landscape below with the Gulf of Naples and the Vesuvius in front.
Piazza Umberto I is better known as the "Piazzetta". Sitting at a bar table you can enjoy an aperitif or a good Neapolitan espresso and maybe find yourself sitting next to a celebrity.
The Gardens of Augustus are a must to admire the symbol of the island of Capri, the rocks Faragioni. Follow your guide in a walking tour of the Gardens.
Here you will catch your ferry back to Naples or Sorrento. Ferry takes 50/60 minutes . ( if you already stay in Capri , your tour ends at your hotel )

We had a fantastic experience in Capri with a private tour from Viator. Our guide, Lucia, was delightful, with warm hospitality, wide knowledge and excellent English. She communicated with us in advance of our arrival, greeted us at the ferry pier and was very flexible to modify our plans on the fly as needed with the various stops and coordinators on the island. And the tour stops were enjoyable both for my pre-teen children and elderly mother.

Vincenzo was amazing, greatest guide and made us feel like VIPs the whole time. I was disappointed we could not see the grotto or do the chair lift due to high winds, and also our ferry ride was very vomitous. Like half the boat got sick because we were riding a coaster for an hour. Kinda treacherous, but we still had a great time. I feel like Viator should offer a lower price if you don’t get to see the Grotto/or so a boat tour and ride chair lift. We got a museum and gardens which were stunning and as I said no complaints. But still felt like a lot of money for what we did get to do.
Paola was outstanding! She was very knowledgeable being a local and the fact that we could jump the line made it so that we could finish seeing everything on the itinerary given it was an extremely busy and crowded island. She knew many things about Capri that she shared with us.
Cristina was absolutely incredible! She was able to cater to each of our individual needs. She was excellent at communicating with us. The drivers and tour guides were absolutely incredible, very knowledgeable about the areas we visited, and the history of the places we went! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!! Our group of eight had a private tour of Capri, skipping the Blue Grotto. Cristina at Tours of Capri booked our excursion, inc the ferry ride from Naples to Capri with complete efficiency. Our guide was amazing! Since I have waited 4 mos to write the review, I have forgotten his name, but he lives on the island with his beautiful wife ( we ran into her on our walk) and his young son. He was a wealth of information and a great guide. We took a small van along the Mama Mia Rd and the chairlift to Anacapri. No fault of the tour, but the island lost power for a couple of hours. It actually allowed us to spend time exploring and having a delicious lunch. Would highly recommend this tour. Thank you for an amazing day!
