Pick up in Naples. We pick up customers at various points in the city center. The confirmation of the pickup time and location will be sent by email. The driver and the tour leader will hold a banner with the tour name and a list of participants. We recommend arriving 10 minutes before the meeting time. On board your bus, enjoy a stress-free journey. Our vehicles are equipped with air conditioning and free bottles of water available upon request. On board, our staff will provide a brief introduction to the city of Naples and the surrounding landscape during the journey, before you meet your guide in Pompeii.
Enjoy a guided visit to Pompeii with a professional guide waiting for you at the entrance. Your ticket is included, so you can skip the hassle and start exploring immediately. Discover the fascinating history of this ancient Roman city, preserved by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius, as your guide brings its streets, houses, and daily life back to life. Half day tour booked with world tours on an extremely hot day. Our Pompeii guide Tomas was very good and gave us a whistle-stop tour of the important bits. Makes us want to visit again when we have more time.Tomas never stopped talking and gave lots of interesting information the whole way through.
I really enjoyed my tour of Pompeii with Thomas! He was incredibly knowledgeable, bringing the ancient city to life with fascinating stories and insights. Even better, he managed to make 2,000-year-old ruins genuinely entertaining with his quick wit and great sense of humour. Somehow he made learning about volcanic destruction more fun than some of my holidays. If you're visiting Pompeii, I highly recommend touring with Thomas - you'll leave smarter, smiling, and probably wishing history class had been this entertaining.
Funny and gives great explanation on how Pompeii once was how the people were what their jobs, status, etc. I also liked how he puts his little jokes at the right moments and lights up the mood. I had a lot of fun with him and learned a lot about Pompeii and will save this momment for my life.

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour of Pompeii. The meeting location was conveniently close to the cruise ship debarkation area, although we did find it somewhat stressful locating the exact spot. The instructions referenced only the name of a food stand, and it would have been helpful to include GPS coordinates, photos, or more detailed directions to make finding the meeting point easier. Once we met our travel coordinator, everything went very smoothly. She was professional, organized, and spoke excellent English. At Pompeii, we were handed off to a young man who did an outstanding job. His knowledge of the site and ability to explain the history and significance of what we were seeing was truly impressive and made the experience come alive. Returning to the bus was simple and well organized. One thing future visitors should know is that Pompeii involves a considerable amount of walking. The path from the bus parking area to the entrance is fairly long, and once inside, the ground is uneven and can be physically challenging. Comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended. We had a few individuals who did not dress accordingly or were not in shape enough for the physical challenge and they had to bail out after holding up the group. Make sure to take water for the time inside the site as it gets hot and purchase options are limited inside the gates. Overall, this was an excellent tour, and the quality of the guides made it one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience the fascinating history of Pompeii.
