Great day spent at PCC

The PCC was amazing. It was better than we could have imagined. All the shows were so entertaining and educational. The day flew by. I have a teenager and even he loved it. We would definitely do this again.

Great experience

It was a beautiful tour. The student guides did an excellent job. The one thing I would suggest is have the ones that have to use scooters be able to be up front with the guides so they are able to hear and see. Have the guides ask the others in the group to recognize this and be mindful of it. I unfortunately had to use a scooter because of my knee and alot that were I the group would walk right in front of me when I would be trying to stay up with the guide to be able to hear and see him. So if they would make that a clear suggestion at the beginning it would be appreciated.

Must see, book in advance for total experience.

You get to experience lots of cultures individually and then they bring them all together in the Ha, Breath of Life show. Amazing! Be sure to read details on the bookings because some come with Center, Dinner, and show included. The one I booked said you could upgrade when you arrived, but the Dinner was already sold out. We did get to add and see the show. There are also hula shows you can book and see, but they have to be booked in advance also. We are Baptist by faith, but took the free tour of Later day Saints and it was amazing. The staff are very kind and do not try to convert you. Beautiful pictures, statues and replica of temple in the visitor center. There is some down time between 5:30 and showtime of 7:30.

An Interesting Day at Polynesian Cultural Center

Everyone in our party, from age 7 to 80, enjoyed the day at the Polynesian Cultural Center. The check-in was easy and quick, as we had mobile tickets so we went right to the entrance, which helped us avoid long lines. Each island was very interesting. We loved to get involved in the activities, view the buildings, watch the presentations, etc. People there were friendly and very helpful. They made sure to welcome you immediately and ask if you needed help. Definitely much appreciated. In my opinion, they had activities for all ages so that kids and adults would have fun. I also liked the background presented about the island's history. This is not something typically studied in school, so it was quite the learning experience. I really appreciated the amount of shade there. Kept things a lot cooler and when it rained for a short time, it helped keep some water off of our heads. There was also several places to get water. I also thought the place was very beautiful. Important note - We did the tour on our own. If I did this over, I think I would get a guide as the person would help you better coordinate the key activities. It was a little hard to know how to navigate once you entered an area. The program helped somewhat. There was also a little book for kids to use but we did not see this when we entered. We did pick them up when we left and then went over what we saw. Since we had two younger children with us, we stayed about 3 or so hours and left. That allowed us time to visit most of the islands, although next time I would plan to stay longer and take in the night time show/luau.

Operator response

Thank you for your thoughtful and detailed review! We’re delighted to hear that guests of all ages in your group enjoyed the experience and found the cultural presentations engaging and educational. It’s wonderful to know our team helped create a welcoming environment throughout your visit. We appreciate your helpful feedback about navigation and guided tours—having a guide can definitely enhance the experience by helping guests make the most of their time. We’re also glad you enjoyed the beauty of the grounds, the activities, and the learning opportunities across the villages. We hope to welcome you back again so you can enjoy even more, including the luau and HA: Breath of Life!
