Great introductory tour.

My wife and I did this tour in July 2025. We were very lucky to get Robin as our tour guide. The four hour tour was very busy as we visited several of the most important tourist sites in Penang. We started by visiting the Dhamikamara Buddhist Temple. This was quite a small but attractive temple. We then visited Chgaya Mangalaram Temple, which is a Thai Buddhist temple. This was completely different as it was larger and has a large reclining Buddha. We then drove around Georgetown, visiting The City and Town Halls, walking along the Sea Heritage Trail. Robin was an excellent guide and was really able to give a local's view of the city. We spent sometime at Fort Cornwallis. A very impressive and historic location. It was getting renovated at the time so we did not get to see everything. It should be finished in about 5 years time so would be well worth visiting. Robin then drove us through the very historic Georgetown area. We got to see the famous murals, the Clan Jetties and the Penang Peranakan Mansion. All of this with Robin's great commentary. I would highly recommend this tour as an introduction to George Town. Ask for Robin if you can, as he was a great guide and will certainly make the experience special.

Sedate tour of George Town

Very good tour to see some top sites and to orientate you if you are new to George Town. Several other tours do not include the fort which I think is essential if you have an interest in the colonial history. Our driver was 4th generation Penang and was very knowledgeable and obviously proud of his hometown which made for good conversation.
