Cooking experience.

My daughter and myself had such an amazing day doing this cooking class. Our day begun with Mr Mok who took us on a tour around the market. He was very informative about food and the culture of Nyonya and baba Peranakan Chinese. We had a delicious breakfast in the market then met Amy who taught us to cook delicious traditional foods. Mr Mok and Amy talked us through everything. The curry was the best curry and so were the spring rolls. Thank you for a memorable experience of Panang

Great class

I had a great time on this cooking class. The guides are very knowledgeable and care about the food they teach you how to cook. Mok, Amy and Simoienz had lots of information on the market and ingredients we cooked with. The class was run well and everything we cooked was delicious. I would recommend this class

brilliant 👏

Great experience, well organised and exceptional guides and cooking teachers. I wish I didn't on first day in penang because not only you learnt to cook but also learnt the history or penang and expert advice on how best to experience our stay in penang

Fun cooking class

Mr Mok and his wife, Amy, area amazing hosts. Mr Mok took us around the market to show us where locals buy raw ingredients, he is very passionate about durians and share a few tricks when choosing, he is also very pleasant and friendly when interacting with us and the people work at the market. Mr Mok share many interesting Nyonya histories. Amy is a very lovely chef, she told us tips and tricks as we cook along, her family satay recipe is delicious, the satay sauce is the essence of it all!! Amy also taught us to cook the char kuey teow, and it was just amazing, that sauce mix and the way to use to wok to fry up the noodles plus that egg, I truly enjoy every bite of this dish! We also made coconut jam from scratch which was so much better than any stall we ate from cos it’s just freshly made! The coconut jam went with a glutinous rice cake steamed with coconut milk and pair with some very sweet jackfruit as dessert! This was a lovely cooking experience as we not only learn how to cook the famous char kuey teow, satay and coconut jam, we also learn about the history here in Penang and Malaysia. Amy also shared her family photos with us and showing us how the traditional Nyonya clothing look like, that was such a sweet moment. Highly recommend this class!

Lovely people. Great value for money. Highly recommend

his was a brilliant experience - the market tour was incredibly insightful and we stopped off for a lovely breakfast. The cooking class used some of the ingredients we had picked up en route. It was super well organised and we learnt a lot from Amy who patiently showed us how to make each dish, assisted by a lovely team of helpers. We enjoyed our delicious food and not a single dish to wash up! Mok was the perfect host. I highly recommend this tour - it was the right balance of leaning and hands on fun. Thanks everyone and for sharing all the recipes to try at home too 👩🏻‍🍳
