PADI Open Water Diving Certification Course Activity

Excellent experience with Manuel and Ulysses! I came to Mexico to scuba dive and get my Open Water and I’m grateful that I did it with them. Super recommended. Do not hesitate to dive here

Went for open water dive certification. I had a tight schedule and was worried they might cancel the dive due to rough seas, but everything went off without a hitch. Captain Ricardo got us out there no problem and my instructor Manuel was very knowledgeable, he and the other instructor Ulysses spoke clear english and photographer Poncho took excellent pictures.

My son and I completed our PADI open water referral dives with Coconut Divers and couldn't be happier with them. Our instructor Gonzalo was just excellent in his teaching ability and making us feel comfortable and understand the skills. He showed us several pointers that we didn't receive in our confined water pool dives and really helped us become better divers. He was also very helpful and responsive to get our certifications updated so we could dive in Cozumel just 2 days later. Thank You!!!!

I did my Advanced Open Water PADI with Coconut Divers and it was the best experience. Gonzalo is an excellent teacher who was very thorough and you can tell how much he loves and respects diving by how he cares about his students and their training. I felt so comfortable and really came out of the course a better diver because of him! The rest of the crew was just as amazing and caring. Ulysses is a very skilled master who helped everyone really enjoy themselves. I was able to watch him with beginners doing a discovery during my cert dives and he was kind, patient, and helped them have the best time! My brother and sister in law also did their advanced cert with him and they had nothing but great things to say. Ricardo was a great captain and Poncho took incredible photos underwater for us! We saw so many amazing things and creatures during each dive (wreck, reefs, and underwater museum) and our favorite was the night dive! We saw a ton of rays at the wreck, spotted a shark, barracuda, eels, octopus, and many turtles, lobsters and crabs during the night dive. We had the best adventures even when the waters were a bit choppy because of the winds, we always felt very safe. They were so flexible and willing to take us out because we almost couldn’t go due to the harbor closing because of high winds. They communicated constantly with us and when they found out the good news it would open, just later that day, they offered and we jumped at the opportunity to do the dives we planned! We stayed at the Riu Palace Peninsula and it was literally a couple minute walk across the street. We’ll never forget our experiences with the crew and will definitely be back for more when come back to Cancun! Highly recommend for all levels and ages.

Coconut Divers was great for our kids to get certified and for our family to get some dives in on our vacation. Gonzalo was great at teaching, he made the concepts and skills simple and easy to understand. His ability to relate to people and make the adventure fun was fantastic. My wife and I chose Coconut Divers to finish our Open Water PADI Certifications. This dive shop is a great local shop that has the diver in mind. The staff was very friendly and spoke English well. The dive instructors were through in explaining skills and expectations of each dive. Their equipment was in good working order and we felt very safe using it. Our 4 check off dives were great and in a good location to see the MUSA and surrounding reefs. Plenty of underwater wildlife to see and the guides were quick to point out things. Overall it was a great experience and my wife and I will definitely use Coconut Divers again when we travel back to Cancun!

We completed our PADI Advanced Open Water Certification and had an incredible time! Amazing dive sites with the museum and shipwreck and we practiced safely the entire time! Ulysses was our dive master and he was extremely aware of our surroundings and our needs. I happen to have a hard time equalizing and Ulysses showed me a way to ensure I would quickly have success, due to the conditions at our dive site and the need to descend quickly. This place caters to your individual needs and helps you be successful at the same time! I have also never seen so many huge coral in one place and we even saw nurse sharks, moray eels, angel shark rays, and a hawksbill sea turtle! There are an abundance of beautiful fish to see and reefs to explore. Captain Ricardo also navigated the boat to us for the drift dives and was super helpful in helping us safely exit and enter the boat!
