Itinerary
Visiting Osaka Castle and its beautiful surrounding park offers a perfect blend of history, culture, and scenic beauty in the heart of the city.
Come with us and enjoy this small, colorful temple tucked away in Osaka, Japan, known for its vibrant display of hanging cloth monkeys called kukurizaru. These symbolize the control of desires and are believed to bring good luck. Though less famous than the nearby Shitennō-ji Temple, Kōshindō is loved for its peaceful atmosphere, unique customs, and photogenic charm—making it a delightful hidden gem for visitors seeking a quieter, more spiritual experience.
Step into the timeless beauty of Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine, one of Japan’s oldest and most treasured Shinto shrines. With its striking red arched bridge, serene grounds, and unique, purely Japanese architecture, this sacred site offers a powerful sense of history and peace. A visit here feels like entering a different world—perfect for those seeking tradition, tranquility, and a deeper connection to Japan’s spiritual heritage.
Dotonbori is Osaka’s most iconic entertainment district—vibrant, neon-lit, and packed with energy day and night. Famous for its dazzling signs like the Glico Running Man, mouthwatering street food such as takoyaki and okonomiyaki, and lively canal-side atmosphere, it’s a must-visit for anyone wanting to experience the soul of the city. Whether you’re snapping photos, shopping, or just soaking in the electric vibe, Dotonbori is where Osaka truly comes alive.
Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Street is Osaka’s premier shopping arcade, stretching over 600 meters of covered walkways lined with everything from luxury brands and trendy boutiques to quirky local shops and souvenirs. Bustling with locals and tourists alike, it blends modern fashion with historic charm in an energetic, stylish atmosphere. Whether you're on a shopping spree or just people-watching, this vibrant street offers a true taste of Osaka’s urban culture.

This private tour was outstanding. Yume was extremely knowledgeable. We fit so much into our time together and she was able to gear it to my interests. It was a wonderful blend of sightseeing/learning/culture and fun. I appreciated the tips she was able to share with me. Yume’s warm and sincere manner made the afternoon that much more enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour.
Absolutely the best tour we’ve had in Japan. Jarrod has outstanding communication skills & showed us all the highlights of Osaka. We’ve had many tours throughout Japan, this was the best experience we’ve had. I strongly recommend this tour company & Jarrod as the guide.
Took a small group on this walking tour Sun, Mar 1, 2026. Our guide, Atif, was amazing! He managed to show us all the sites we were interested in seeing and he went into detail with descriptions and information about everything. This was one of our best tours while in Japan.
We did as a test and it was the good one - We try again for another one not sure when but is it tomorrow
I really hate to leave a poor review, but…. The young guide, while very sweet, was very inexperienced and ill prepared for this tour. We did pay for her to go into Osaka castle, she then told us she never been inside. We walked a long time to the Temple… through alleys and she had to ask for directions twice. While I understand that we probably spent too much time at the castle… we only hit 2 stops of the 7 described in the tour. Her english was ok. She said she had only learned a year ago I would give it a 1
Your guide was young yes - We told you she was recently qualified - Everyone has to start somewhere.......
Our guide supposedly got sick at the last minute, and did a second guide for the tour an hour later, so they combined the 9am and the 10am tour with a guide (very sweet guy) who had never been a guide before. He was french and had been in Osaka for 8 months. The day was pretty much very disapointing.
Supposedly got sick? It is illegal in Japan to go in public with suspected Corona Virus. Should we break the law for you???
We were scammed! We received late messages stating that our original guide that we scheduled for 10 AM had COVID and would we mind if we joined at our with another couple at 9:30. Under the circumstances we said yes. When we met the other couple they informed us that THEIR 9 AM private tour needed to be rescheduled to 9:30 because THEIR private guide (obviously a different one) had COVID! To top it all off the guide assigned to us (Paul) confessed to us that he had NO experience at all for this tour as he had not yet been trained and was not aware of other guides being sick. Nice guy but his inexperience and lack of knowledge was obvious. We spent more time riding in trains than we did visiting sites. For example when we arrived at the castle we were informed that it would take more than 30 minutes just to purchase tickets. It is shameful that this tour operator is even allowed to be listed on Viator!
Scammed?? You received a walking tour that you agreed to - Would you like me to recommend a good dictionary. You will find 'Scammed" in between "Sap" and "Stupid" Hope this helps.
Great tour. - saw all the essentials and more. Tour leader Abir was knowledgeable about the city and scheduled the sights to fit in with interests. Timing and information provided perfect. Was a great day thanks
Thank you. - We LOVED showing you Osaka!!!
Japan is amazing, full of fantastic places with a vast history. Visiting a place like Hiroshima without the guidance of an expert will take away from the experience. Yuka is a great human being, kind, friendly and knowledgeable, she truly makes the world of difference.
Wow - So happy to know you enjoyed our tour - Please come again!!!
