Hidden History and Haunting Stories in NYC

I’ve lived in New York my whole life, and this tour showed me parts of the city’s history I never truly knew. Exploring Little Italy and Chinatown through mob history and ghost stories felt immersive and real, not touristy. The stop at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory was especially chilling, and the Gertrude Tredwell House was haunting in a quiet, emotional way. Ending at St. Patrick’s Cathedral and then under the arches in Washington Square Park was beautiful and perfectly paced. Our guide, Blake, was fantastic — knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the history, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend this tour for locals and visitors alike

Unfortunately a bit disappointed.

Unfortunately disappointed at this tour. Tour guide knew all her stuff and loved the era but rattled off so much I couldn't remember it. I thought we would see various sites along the way. We saw a park and then Blood Alley in Chinatown and then we just walked to the end of the tour 1.25 hour away. We did stop at spots and were told various things but the location of our stop had nothing to do with what we were being told. It was the feast festival so Little Italy was busy but we didn't see any locations related to mobsters, ghosts or crime.

Operator response

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We’re glad to hear that your guide’s knowledge and passion for the era came through during the tour. We appreciate your feedback regarding the stops and sights—it helps us improve the experience for future guests. We hope you were still able to enjoy parts of the tour and would love the opportunity to provide a more immersive experience next time!
