FRENCH QUARTER - Since 1718 Truman Capote once described New Orleans as, “of all secret cities, the most secretive, the most unlike, in reality, what an outsider is permitted to observe.” New Orleans’ French Quarter may be its most secretive neighborhood. Here, in an area famous for its raucous nightlife and hedonistic abandon, there lives a community in love with the area’s timelessness, its beautiful buildings and handcrafted details. The French Quarter is one of the oldest communities in the U.S. I will take you through the French Quarter and give you a history lesson and show you the historic landmarks like Jackson Square, St. Louis Cathedral - 1727, The French Market - 1791, Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop Bar - 1772, Royal St., Frenchman St., Centuries Old Restaurants and Multi-Million Dollar Creole Cottages. nolabig4c0m
GARDEN DISTRICT - Since 1832 The romance blooms as the afternoon is spent exploring memories of New Orleans’ antebellum past, gazing at secluded mansions, wandering down the brick lined sidewalks. Its canopy of oak trees is world-famous, while its characteristic gardens of hibiscuses, crepe myrtles and angel trumpets, make it one of New Orleans' most beautiful neighborhoods. The Garden District has worked its magic. I will share with you te history of the Garden District from the early 1800's. You will see Multi-Million $ Local & Celebrity Antebellum Mansions of Sandra Bullock, John Goodman, Anne Rice, American Horror Story, Cornstalk Fence and Curious Case of Benjamin Button Homes. CITY PARK - Since 1854 City Park as magical & unique as the city of New Orleans. This 1,300-acre outdoor oasis has enchanted New Orleanians since 1854, making it one of the nation’s oldest urban parks. The crown jewel of City Park is the world’s largest stand of mature southern live oaks, which includes a Grand Oak that dates back over 800 years. These unique trees are known for their distinctive sculptural shape - some of the oldest trees have limbs that are twice as long as the oak is tall. You will also see the Museum of Art, Sculpture Gardens, Big Lake, Botanical Gardens, Children’s Museum, Amusement Park, Story Land, Miniature Golf, Café Du Monde since 1862 and the Cypress Swamp from 1718 that New Orleans was built upon. nolabig4c0m
METAIRIE CEMETERY - Since 1872 Named one of the most beautiful cemeteries in the country. Placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. Oval shape can be traced back to its days as a race track. Became a cemetery after the Civil War in 1872. Final resting place of over 9,000 people. Paul was wonderful tour guide! We were able to book a private tour which was great for my child that is autistic. We really enjoyed the personal nature of Paul's presentation and how he was able to accommodate our wishes when we wanted to stop and take pictures. He was very knowledgeable about the areas we visited and even gave us tips on other places to visit. The price was reasonable and we enjoyed the friendliness and pleasant atmosphere Paul created on the tour.

Paul was wonderful to work with. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating throughout the experience. One of the biggest perks was being able to keep our luggage with us after the cruise, which saved us so much hassle. He picked us up right at the port and dropped us off at the airport after the tour, making everything seamless and stress free. We learned so much along the way and were able to take in beautiful architecture throughout the city, even in the cemetery. I would highly recommend booking this at the beginning of your visit. It really helps you get your bearings and appreciate everything you’re seeing even more. It will give you an idea of where you want to spend your time in New Orleans. There is so much to do from the French quarters, to the river.

Paul Angelica didn’t just tell us about New Orleans—he taught us. Early on, he said the most important point he would make all morning was this: the French and Spanish ruled the area for a combined total of 85 years (1718–1803). As the tour unfolded, that statement came to life in everything around us—the homes, the cemeteries, the culture, and the layers of history woven into each street. Paul doesn’t just carry knowledge about the city; he shares a genuine, deep love for it that makes the experience feel personal and unforgettable. As the scent of jasmine drifted through the morning air, we rode along the Garden District’s quiet, oak-lined streets. Paul guided us at an easy pace, sharing stories of the neighborhood’s rich history and pointing out the distinctive architectural details that make each home feel singular and alive with character. Paul made a statement during the tour that once New Orleans gets into you, it never really leaves—and he’s absolutely right. I was already planning my next trip before we even checked out of the hotel. I’ll be back, NOLA… and when I return, I’ll make sure Paul is my tour guide again.

This tour was so much fun! Paul is so knowledgeable and passionate about NOLA. He has a great sense of humor and was really engaging. He picked us up at our Airbnb and we drove around to a bunch of different places. We got out at the park & got beignets. We got to walk around and see the beautiful trees and landscape. Paul took us to some neighborhoods and taught us about the homes in the areas. This was more than just a tour with the same talking points. By the end of it we felt like he was more of an old friend than a tour guide. I would absolutely do this tour again. 10/10.
