New York Tour by Subway and Bus with Private Guide

This being the first trip for my husband and I to New York we were a bit overwhelmed by the enormity of the city. My brother highly recommended Family in New York tours. It was by far the best decision we made! Our tour guide Vince met us in our hotel lobby with our agenda already planned for the day. We were able to pick out the places we most wanted to see which was an incredible opportunity to personalize the tour experience. I can’t say enough about our guide Vince! He was absolutely amazing! He was a lifelong resident of New York and boy did he know his city. Every location from The 9/11 memorial to Little Italy he explained every detail with so much depth and clarity. It was much more than a sight seeing experience for us, it was an educational opportunity. Vince was the perfect example of what a tour guide should be. His personality along with his knowledge was just incredible! You will be happy you picked Family in New York tours and do yourself a favor and ask for Vince!

Great one day overview of NYC. Our guide was very knowledgeable about NY history. He was a great walker and kept us engaged for 6 hours.

Rob was our tour guide on our 9 hr private tour of the city. He was FANTASTIC! He knew it all from history, to architecture to the different cultures of the neighborhoods. It was an amazing way to see the city and get an understanding of all we were seeing! We thoroughly enjoyed our day and learned so much! I highly recommend this tour!

Rob was amazing! So knowledgeable, friendly and easy to talk with. We spent the day enjoying the sites and all 7 hours were filled with great company, views of many areas around the city and experiences that will be cherished.

I recently visited NYC with my husband and parents. It was their first time in NYC and I wanted to give them a overview of the city's most iconic spots, but also insight into the history and culture that make New York unique. Our guide was Rob who was punctual, thoughtful and sensitive to our needs. My parents needed a slower pace and more frequent breaks which Rob accommodated easily. Rob tailored the experience to our particular interests, specifically history, architecture and food! We enjoyed some fabulous meals and learned so much that enriched our time in the City. Moreover, Rob gave us many safety tips and lessons for using public transit that made the rest of the week more enjoyable. Rob is knowledgeable, friendly, and great at the group photos. I highly recommend Rob and this New York tour whether you are visiting NYC for the first or fiftieth time. It is worth every penny. I will be asking for Rob next time I am in NYC to show me around a different neighborhood, and hopefully, to share some more great meals together. Thanks, Rob, for a fantastic time!

We had a great tour this weekend! This tour is a great way to have a customizable experience in New York and cover a lot in one day. We started off the day choosing where we wanted to go, which was super nice. Our tour guide Rob had a lot of information about the city and was very accommodating to what we wanted to do, when we needed breaks, etc. He even stayed extra time with us to ensure we made it to the spots we planned, which was extremely appreciated. We really enjoyed our time with him. We did choose the Library as one of our stops and it was closed for the holiday weekend. I would like that to be expertise information a tour guide/company is responsible for ahead of time so we didn't waste time visiting an unopen location. I would also reiterate this is a walking/subway tour and there is no bus involved (as the title on Tripadvisor is a bit misleading). Overall we really enjoyed our tour of the city and using a guide made it much easier to cover a large amount of area in a short time!

Having done this tour some 8 years earlier, I revisited with my partner and 5 year old daughter - the tour was perfect and we couldnt have asked for more! Thankyou Rob for a perfect day!

Ronald communicated well up to the tour start. He was friendly and worked around our needs for the group size and start time. The tour itself was interesting for everyone. Some of us had been to NYC 50 times, some never. Everyone learned something new, and everyone had fun. The weather wasn’t great so we did the tour in a really comfortable and fancy van.
