The House of the Virgin Mary, also known as Meryemana or Meryem Ana Evi in Turkish, is a site located near Ephesus in Turkey. According to tradition, it is believed to be the final home of Mary, the mother of Jesus, during her later years. The site has become a pilgrimage destination for Christians and is revered by both Catholics and Muslims. The belief that Mary spent her last years in this house is based on the writings of German mystic Anne Catherine Emmerich, who described visions of Mary's life in Ephesus. These accounts, along with various historical and religious sources, contributed to the establishment of the site as a pilgrimage destination.The House of the Virgin Mary attracts visitors from around the world, particularly Christians who come to pay homage to Mary and seek spiritual inspiration.
