Our tour guide was very friendly but was not proficient in English. He tried his best to provide us with a good experience however. But we didn’t get to learn about Egyptian cocktails nor consume one. We went to two restaurants where we were served full meals. It wasn’t a tasting experience. The food was good though, but it also wasn’t from street vendors. We also walked through some pretty seedy neighborhoods. It was definitely not up to par with other food tasting tours I have experienced.

Regarding the street food tasting, we did enjoy koshari as advertised in the tour description, but I always choose clean and trusted places to ensure my guests’ comfort and safety. After that, we also tried traditional Egyptian fava beans and crispy falafel stuffed with cheese. Later, I offered you a choice of dessert based on your preference, whether ice cream, oriental sweets, or a mix of fresh fruit juice cocktails—the choice was entirely yours. I was very happy to have you on my tour, and I truly hope to welcome you again in Cairo for another experience in the future.
Hapi is a very friendly and warm person. He offered to do the food tour close to our hotel. We had koshary and tahmya, and he got us some desserts to take back to our room.

Since my friend and I were in Cairo on a visit, we decided to join this food tour based on my cousin's recommendation —and it turned out to be an amazing experience. Our tour leader, Bebo, guided us through a couple of fantastic local restaurants in downtown Cairo with great knowledge, professionalism, and genuine passion. From the very beginning, Bebo was friendly, knowledgeable, and deeply enthusiastic about Egyptian food and culture. The tour was perfectly organized and offered a wonderful variety of dishes that truly represented the authentic flavors of Cairo, including local favorites and hidden gems we would never have discovered on our own. What truly stood out was his warm personality and attention to detail—he made us feel comfortable, welcomed, and well taken care of throughout the entire tour.
