London Street Photo workshop
Description
I'll show you the unique angles on photographing people discreetly against the backdrop of the iconic London sites. Crammed into 3 hours are bags of practical and theoretical Street Photography knowledge and invaluable skills to practice on the day and take away and apply in your future photographic endeavours. You'll receive professional guidance on your Street Photography composition, techniques and camera settings. You'll learn how to interpret and implement creative use of light as well as how to approach a street scene and construct a composition with immediate visual impact. You'll also learn how to shoot confidently while staying on the right side of the law and how to adopt a positive attitude for street shooting. You'll be able to use your camera's manual controls to achieve correct exposure and learn how the professional street togs set up their cameras. I'll show you when it's best to shoot in colour and why you'd choose to shoot and convert your images to black and white.

We had a wonderful time wandering around London with Ed and managed to grab some great shots. He was very accommodating to our needs and met us exactly at our skill level (fairly inexperienced, I will admit).

This was a great tour, great value for the price. Ed takes you to fantastic off the beaten path photo spots in borough market, London bridge, tower bridge and in the city. He's knowledgeable, gives great suggestions and is very pleasant. Really enjoyed and would do this again, got interesting non touristy photos of iconic London.

I spent an afternoon with Ed Fil showing me some great spots for street photography. Along the way he introduced me some new techniques and refined some of the techniques I was already familiar with. One of the most fun practices was combining street and travel photography to create images that capture the vibe of the city. For example, placing an iconic landmark, such as Tower Bridge, in the background and interesting people in the foreground. This created images that remind me where I was, London, and capture the colour and energy of the location at the same time. Thanks for a great afternoon of shooting Ed.

I have done many street photography workshops in many different cities. Ed’s was definitely one of the best. He knows london very well and his photography perspective is quite different and fantastic. He explains everything calmly, also shows photos on his ipaid that he has clicked. Took me to places I wouldn’t go otherwise. I got some amazing photos and I leaned a lot. We kept shooting and walking and did not waste anytime so we made the most out of the time we had.

It was amazing! Ed covered everything I had trouble with and I’m so happy I got few really nice shots! Really enjoyed the workshop. I will sign up with Ed again when I’m back in London .

Ed provided an experience that is truly informative, unique and insightful. This experience goes straight into the essential principles of street photography and he makes you comfortable in being yourself as a photographer. As I have a basic knowledge of photography, he nonetheless leverages on this and provides a different take on being "street smart". Truly worth the time and money for this experience!
Excellent tour. Ed is very knowledgeable and can adapt tour to any camera type or knowledge level. Great vision and pointers on getting great street photos. My photos are all in raw and haven't been processed yet.
