Pickup Locations & Times
Pickup from any address of your choice in London (Zone 1-2). Everyone from the group must be picked up from the same location at the same time. Service must be booked at least 24h prior to the pickup time. 15 min for Local Pickups is included in the price , after which we charge additional Waiting and Parking fees where applicable. IMPORTANT! Please ensure your phone is switched on and that you are available to receive calls at the time of collection using the number provided in the booking. Failing to do so might cause your booking to be marked as a Customer No-Show in case we can't locate you at the pickup location. NOTE: 1 Big Luggage means up to MAX 20KG (Size L (75) measures MAX 75x51x28 cm), 1 Small Luggage means hand luggage up to 10KG. (Size S (50) measures MAX 55x40x20 cm.)

I contacted Umbrella Transfers to arrange for a private transfer from London to the Southampton cruise terminal, with stops along the way at Windsor Castle and the Salisbury Cathedral. As we left Windsor Castle, I googled the driving directions to the Salisbury Cathedral and purchased timed entrance tickets based upon our estimated time of arrival in the car. The driver started making circles around the highways, and then he stopped at a small church in the middle of nowhere and asked me if this was the Salisbury Cathedral. He told me he had never been there before. I explained that we were nowhere near the Salisbury Cathedral, and that the Magna Carta wouldn't be stored in a random building in the middle of a strip mall. He then asked me for the address, and I told him I didn't have it because it is something really easy to google. But by this point, I realized that we had missed our timed entrance tickets to the Salisbury Cathedral (and I was seriously concerned that if our driver had no idea how to find the Salisbury Cathedral we might be in a lot of trouble if he got lost on the way to the cruise terminal which would cause us to miss our ship.). Since my 5 year old daughter would have been devastated to miss her Disney birthday cruise I told the driver to just take us to the Southampton terminal. I contacted Umbrella tours to notify them of their driver's mistake. They spoke to the driver, who admitted getting lost, and offered 50 pounds compensation, which I didn't feel was adequate given the fact that I paid in advance £ 340.00 in order to rent a vehicle for 7 hours with planned stops at both Windsor Castle and the Salisbury Cathedral on the way to the Southampton pier . I requested a refund in the amount of £100 which I think is the absolute minimum we should be compensated, since we only used the car service for 5 hours instead of the 7 hours it was contracted out for, arriving in Southampton 2 hours earlier than we needed to since I couldn't trust that the driver could find the port. At any rate, they told me they would reimburse me £50, but then did not respond to my last request for repayment in January. So they have reimbursed me nothing and we missed out on the opportunity to visit the Salisbury Cathedral.

This is my first time writing a review but I had to because Umbrella Transfers provided such an amazing experience! Went on a day trip with my friends and everything from pickup to drop off was perfect. The driver was on time professional and really friendly making the journey smooth and stress free. The vehicle was spotless and super comfortable which made a huge difference. Communication was great throughout and we felt well taken care of. Honestly, couldn’t have asked for better service Highly recommend them and will definitely be using them again :)

I was taken home after a clinic appointment in Marylebone. The driver was flexible enough to collect me early (I wanted to get home asap). His choice of route was entirely appropriate, driving comfortable, and we arrived sooner than I’d expected. I was tired; he sensibly let me rest.
