A simple ride can also be booked and is actually sufficient since the ride only goes over the Thames. It would make sense to have North Greenwich as a destination. There you can also do some shopping, and food and drinks are plentifully offered.

What an amazing experience on the London Cable Car! The journey offered awesome views across the city, with (despite being a rainy day) stunning panoramic sights of the River Thames, the O2, Canary Wharf, and London’s skyline. Whether you’re a tourist or a Londoner looking to see the city from a different perspective, it’s a must-do unmissable attraction. A unique, memorable experience for our exchange students.
Thank you for such a positive response. We are glad to hear that you had such an amazing experience. We hope to see you again soon. Thanks, JL
We picked up the cable car from the Royal Dock side, thinking it would be easier than going south to Greenwich, as we were coming up from Essex. Easy to get to, straightforward, no hassle, but does need parking nearby, for tourists. We travelled by car from Essex, and had to park 25 minutes' walk away. It was a pleasant walk going along the river, but caught in a storm coming back. We travelled mid-morning, so it wasn't very busy, definitely a tourist attraction as well as for public use, plenty around to see, and nice street food on the Royal Docks side. We got off on the South side at Greenwich, great architecture and lively area, very cosmopolitan, wasn't allowed in the O2 itself, because we had our pooch with us. All in all, a great experience and the cable car was the highlight with the amazing views.
Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm glad to hear that you had a great experience and enjoyed the other offerings around the O2. We hope to see you again soon. ^ MES.
Not recommended!! You can definitely save that money. Traveling due to construction with a 25-minute walk after the train ride. Actually, the trip was supposed to take 10 months, but it was only 3 minutes in one direction. When inquiring with very unmotivated and grumpy employees, the quick trip was justified by the outside temperatures, and it would remain that way throughout the evening. Yes, it was warm, but when we left at 5 PM, the temperature was 21 degrees. Since there was hardly any occupancy, we had a cabin to ourselves. We thought we would see more of the center like in some promotional pictures, but you only look at the Thames, construction sites, and can only guess the center. We did not even start the return trip but drove back to the city from Greenwich due to the poor connection at the dock.

The cable car experience was good. The only improvement would be more and better directional signage from Greenwich North station. Once you exit the station, it was a bit of guesswork to know which direction to go.
The IFS cable car was an amazing experience. I think it's a great way to get around a part of London; it was both a great method of transportation and an information tour of London. The views from the cable car are amazing!
I would recommend this to anybody. Its a great experience with amazing views over the Thames. Book directly with the cable car, they changed my booking with no fuss when we were unable to make the first date.
Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your experience and changing your date worked well. Hope to see you again soon. JL
Journey to O2 was fine, no queuing, but the return journey was a nightmare, due to large vessels passing under the cable cars, passenger travel was suspended for around 40 minutes.
