This tour allows you to discover one of the most beautiful villages of Italy. The charming rounded old town, which is the origin of the name, preserves a medieval village characterized by the “cummerse”, that is to say two-storey houses with pitched roof built with chiancarelle stones.

Itinerary
We'll visit one of the most beautiful villages of Italy, enjoying a fantastic panoramic view of the Itria Valley from the renowned "lungomare". After passing through Porta Napoli, the old entrance gate, we will walk along Vittorio Emanuele square and Main Street, where the Civic Tower is located, and will reach the Palazzo Morelli, one of the most important noble buildings with a Baroque facade. During the stroll in the historical centre we will have the opportunity to admire the frescoes of the church of San Nicola di Myra, perfectly immersed among the white “cummerse”, that is to say the two-storey houses with sloping roof covered with chiancarelle stones. Next stop will be the Mother Church, realized in the early 1800s, dedicated to Saint George, Patron Saint of Locorotondo. Last stop is the Church of Madonna della Greca, among the oldest churches of the town, which has a basic but elegant style. N.B. The tour will be operated by Valeria or Mario tour guides

Locorotondo is a beautiful village to visit and Valeria gave us a good background of the history and culture. We had 2 other Puglia tours with her and recommend her heartily.
Thank you so much 🙏
