Your experience begins with check-in at 8:30 AM, where you will be welcomed on board before departure from Punta Sam. During the journey, you will enjoy a light breakfast including bread, fresh fruit, and coffee while taking in the beautiful Caribbean scenery. After departure, you will navigate toward the Ixlaché Reef, with a travel time of approximately 45 minutes depending on sea conditions. Once you arrive at the reef, you will prepare for an unforgettable 30 minute snorkeling experience in the crystal-clear waters of the Mexican Caribbean. During this activity, you will have the opportunity to encounter and swim near the majestic whale sharks in their natural habitat, as well as enjoy the marine life and coral reef surroundings.
After the snorkeling activity, you will continue the journey toward Isla Contoy. Upon arrival at the island, you will receive a brief introduction to the regulations of this protected natural reserve, designed to preserve its unique ecosystem and wildlife. You will then be accompanied by a certified guide along the island’s natural trails, where you will learn about the local flora, fauna, and ecological importance of Isla Contoy. The guided tour includes visits to the bird sanctuary, the panoramic observation tower with breathtaking views of the island, and the museum, where you will discover the history and conservation efforts of this beautiful paradise. Following the guided tour, you will enjoy a traditional lunch served in the main palapa area, featuring Tikin Xic style fish. After lunch, you will have free time to relax on the beach, walk along the bay, or simply enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Isla Contoy before boarding once again.
The adventure continues with a visit to Isla Mujeres, where you will have free time to explore the island, shop, or stroll through its charming streets before returning by boat to Punta Sam, concluding an unforgettable Caribbean experience.
