Considered one of the most beautiful markets in the world, the Delivery Market is a true symbol of Setúbal. With an incredible variety of fresh products, from fish and seafood to fruits and vegetables, the market reflects the gastronomic richness of the region. In addition, the space is decorated with tiled panels that tell local stories, making the visit an authentic and visually stunning experience.
This imposing 16th-century fort offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city of Setúbal, the Sado River and the Trojan Peninsula. Built to protect the region from invasions, the Fort of St. Philip is a historic landmark that combines military architecture with natural beauty. A visit to the fort is a time trip and an opportunity to appreciate the region’s unique landscape.
The Serra da Arrábida is a true natural paradise, with its mountains covered with Mediterranean vegetation and crystal clear beaches. Part of the Arrábida Natural Park, the region offers spectacular views and a quiet environment, perfect for those seeking connection with nature. It is an ideal place for hiking, picnics and stunning photographs.
Founded in 1834, one of the most iconic wines in Portugal, the José Maria da Fonseca is home to legendary wines, such as the famous Moscatel de Setúbal. During the visit, you will be able to explore the rich history of the family, learn about the traditional methods of wine production and, of course, enjoy a tasting of award winning wines. An experience that combines tradition, taste and hospitality.
The Restaurant Casa das Tortas, located in Azeitão, is a place where Portuguese tradition meets the sophistication of high gastronomy. With a special focus on harmonizing wines, each dish is carefully crafted to highlight the authentic flavors of Portuguese cuisine, creating a unique gastronomic experience. The menu highlights traditional dishes made with fresh and local ingredients, bringing the true taste of the region. In addition, the selection of wines is carefully chosen, with labels that include the best wines from the Peninsula of Setúbal and other renowned regions of Portugal. At Bulla, each meal is a celebration of Portuguese culture and gastronomy, where hospitality and attention to detail make the experience unforgettable. Ideal to perfectly complement your tour by tasting delicious dishes accompanied by exceptional wines in a cozy atmosphere.
Azeiton tiles represent one of the most authentic and traditional Portuguese arts. This space is dedicated to the artisanal production of hand-painted tiles, using secular techniques dating back to the 17th century. Each piece is a unique work of art, created with dedication and mastery by local artisans who keep this rich tradition alive. During the visit, you can follow the entire production process, from the cutting and modeling of clay to the delicate painting and final cooking. The vibrant colors and intricate designs reflect the history and culture of Portugal, making these tiles iconic symbols of the country. It is an unforgettable opportunity to get to know this unique art and, who knows, bring home a piece that tells a piece of the history of Olive.
Located in the outskirts of Azeitão, Quinta de Catralvos is a boutique winery that combines production of high quality wines with a charming setting. During the visit, you will have the chance to get to know the backstage of the vinification process, from the vineyards to the production, and to taste the unique wines of this welcoming property.
Inspired by the Redemptor Christ of Rio de Janeiro, the Monument of the Christ of the King in Almada offers a privileged view of Lisbon and the Tajo. This symbol of faith and gratitude is also a place of contemplation, combining spirituality with one of the best panoramas in the region. It is an indispensable stop to appreciate the grandiosity of the Portuguese landscape.

Nuno was absolutely fantastic. We had another tour scheduled with someone who called in sick that morning. We scrambled and booked with Nuno at the last second. Incredible day!! We had so much fun at the market in Setubal and then the wine tasting in Azeitao was outstanding. Nuno is the best!
Thanks for your review. We are thrilled to provide the most memorable moments ! Our Warmest Regards, BLTourism
Amazing and fun day out. Miguel went above and beyond. His knowledge of the history, wines, food, etc was great. Thoroughly recommended
Amazing wine tour, we learned so much about wine making and both our tour guide and the owner of the winery were passionate and enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge of the local wine and products. It was really fun too, we all had a wonderful time and that was the highlight of our trip. Would 100% recommend it !
We had an excellent experience! Communication was quick and clear from the start, everything was well organized, and the guide was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. The tour felt safe, smooth, and perfectly paced, with great local tips along the way. If you’re visiting Portugal, I’d definitely recommend booking with them!
We had a great time and really enjoyed our guide, João! He was easy to communicate with, timely and offered suggestions throughout our day that made our experience enjoyable. The market is closed on Mondays, so he revised our itinerary to add a third winery instead that we really enjoyed. We would highly recommend this experience and guide.
Delicious food, gorgeous views, friendly and knowledgeable guides, diverse activities and locations. Highly recommend!
João Xavier picked us up from our hotel in Lisbon for a fun day a short drive away. The wines were delicious, the views were beautiful, and we made a quick stop to see where some of the beautiful tiles known to Portugal are made. A highlight was absolutely our lunch by the water in Sesimbra. The fish could not have been fresher. I highly recommend this tour with João if you want to see more of Portugal while staying in Lisbon.
Thank you so much for your review Tobie! Hope to host you in Portugal again! Our Warmest Regards, BLTourism
It was a fantastic experience, fully personalized, with a lot of sympathy and readiness to answer all our questions! João was a great guide and, besides enjoying the experience and spending a different time with friends, we also learned new things! No doubt a contact to retain and to repeat soon for new destinations!
Joao is a Super Host! He made our days in Portugal. This was one of the three Experiences we had with him. 10/10 Worth all the money!!!
We found Joao at ToursByLocals and book this experience. His prompt response was exceptional! This full day tour is private and premium. We were tour persons and visited a market ( oysters and nata tasting ), two wineries ( 4 wines tasting and 5 wines tasting ). The lunch included is amazing! Thanks for all Joao, 5 of 5 stars. We fully recommend this experience! Joanne
