We will stop at the Mirador de Entrelagos and enjoy the wonderful views of Lake Ercina and Lake Enol. Then we will continue until we reach the Basilica of Covadonga, a truly impressive building. We will also see the Cave of the Virgin of Covadonga or the Cave, where the carving of La Santina is located. Then we will stop for lunch in Cangas de Onís, to taste typical Asturian dishes or enjoy the city at your leisure. Itinerary
The Covadonga Natural Park was the first National Park in Spain and, in 1995, it was changed to the Picos de Europa National Park and biosphere reserve. After the explanations on the bus, the guide will accompany the group to the viewpoint of entrelagos, so that they can enjoy the views of Lakes Enol and Ercina.
The Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Covadonga is a must-see stop on our tour. We will also talk about The Bell that weighs 5,000 kilos and the crypt. Oh! And from the Obelisk where they say Pelayus was proclaimed King. Get ready to hear the most interesting stories!
Cangas de Onís, His bridge with the Victory Cross hanging from its arch is a symbol of the council. You will also be very struck by the church tower with its 33 meters and 6 bells on 3 floors. Free time! Take the opportunity to discover, get lost in its streets or try the famous Asturian gastronomy. A puppy with pots? And of course, don’t leave without “spouting an ass.”
Bordering the Asturian coast, we will get panoramic views of the beaches of La Espasa, La Isla and La Griega, indispensable on the Asturian coast. Finally, we will then stop in Lastres, one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, where we will enjoy the charm of the place and its impressive viewpoint aloft. The views are simply spectacular!

The tour was good. The visit is worth it. However, we had several issues with the coach: the bus stopped working halfway through the excursion and the guide could not explain everything she had planned, and the worst part was that the air conditioning started leaking in the middle of the trip, causing drips in the bus (in two rows of seats).
Beautiful excursion, landscapes, top-notch guide
An incredible day! A perfect mix of nature and culture. Each place offered something new. Also, the views of the Asturian landscape from the bus were beautiful. The guide Ana was perfect. She has a deep knowledge of the history of the region. She explained the history of each place very clearly and gave information about the places we passed on the bus. She was also very kind and answered questions with pleasure. I would recommend this excursion!
Really a wonderful excursion!! So many beautiful things seen!! And the guide and the driver were really very nice and good! It was a super large group, 53 people with meet Spanish than English speakers. But he did that really well! The only thing that was complicated was estimating the time (limited) you had per stop. Sometimes you looked at your watch more than the surroundings. But absolutely highly recommended! A whole day under the pans!!!
We were scheduled to go on the Picos de Europa tour but it was canceled a few days earlier and this was our option to replace it. While we had this on our bucket list it wasnt our first choice. The Lakes at Covadonga were incredible, the setting, views, hiking, All 4 of us loved it. The Basilica of Santa Maria was not overly impressive, it felt very touristy and not special, we were told repeatedly that no photos were allowed, but yet a majority of the people did anyway, even with a docent standing there allowing them. Frustrating to behave when very few did. Cangas do Onis was a nice place to stop and have lunch, we just wish it had been earlier, it wasnt until 15:00 so we were very hungry by then. Lastres, we were told it was one of the best ocean views anywhere, well it isnt, its not very exciting, special or different, there are so many more beautiful views. It literally is at a dead end street that is really someones front yard. All in all, The Lakes at Covadonga are the ony part I would reccomend, it was a long day for half of it to be very disappointing. Our guide was very good, though I had expected our trip to be only in English since I booked the English tour. He would start out in Spanish, tell his spiel then say it again in English. It was very evident in timing that you got more than double the information in Spanish as he would talk for 4-5 minutes, but English was 1-2 minutes. A bit of a disappointment.
We tend not to love tours that are overly structured with a lot of guided time. This tour was phenomenal. It included a lot of free time due to the restrictions on guides in the national parks, and the views in the mountains were breathtaking. This is probably my favorite trip I’ve done and would highly recommend it for folks who enjoy getting out into nature and exploring. Some stunning scenery up in the mountains but a lot of walking. I also suggest bringing something you can swim in as the lunch stop is alongside a gorgeous river and you can swim under a medieval bridge. Sara and Berto were fantastic guide and driver on this excursion.
It was an extraordinary experience; Santiago was fantastic with everything he explained to us. 100% recommendable
Interesting tour with many explanations and information along the way. Highly recommended!
Hallo!
The guide was in a hurry at the lakes, so there was no time to enjoy or take pictures on the walk to the lakes. And as a result, everyone was on the bus 40 minutes early. The rest of the tour was not rushed, enough time to see the cave and church as well as the view from Covadonga monastery. Free lunch in Cangas de Onis, is after 3 pm, and after seeing the "Roman" bridge from the 13th century. Last stop is Lastres, we could have spent a little more time, because a very nice fishing village. Good explanation and driver. If you leave Oviedo, start at 08:00 and return at 19:30, because you first go to Gigjòn to people on train Pickens.

For the driver, I would give a 1000: excellent control of the driving, the vehicle, and the route. For the guide, a three. It was disorganized; he never gathered everyone at the same time for the instructions, and those who arrived just after missed them. The audio was disastrous; we had to ask him several times to speak louder, and when he decided to use the headphones, instead of testing them on the bus before getting off, he tested them outside, resulting in several not working. He should have continued speaking loudly for those who had malfunctioning ones, especially for those closer to him. It was still a very nice tour, but the highest score goes to the driver, who also helped us with water to take medication. They should clarify that the bus does not provide water because it is many hours of exercise and with a dry mouth. Excursions usually always provide water. Thank you anyway.
