Named by explorers in 1883 after a narrow break in its towering cliffs, the park is famous for its dramatic volcanic scenery, geothermal activity, and for serving as the visual inspiration for Disney's The Lion King.
Lake Naivasha is a stunning freshwater lake in Kenya's Great Rift Valley, situated at 1,884 metres above sea level. Known for its high concentration of hippos and over 400 bird species, it serves as a peaceful retreat just 90 km northwest of Nairobi.
