Maasai Mara National Reserve is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. Its animals include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers. The area nearby is dotted with villages (enkangs) of Maasai people. This is the ONLY tour available in the market that is still a group safari but with Landcruiser 4WD JEEP. This tour is unique because we oprate it at a very high and proffesional way as we have very many reviews regarding our services,we have professional driver guides who will be taking care of the clients and guiding them all way. Our vehicles are very good and can go off road . Our camps are very clean,which have both WIFI and the beds have nets,hot showers and private bathroom which gives good privacy. Our drivers are very proffesional while on safari.

Pick up time is confirmed after booking depeding with your location. We pickup also from Apartments, home stays, hotels and Air bnb's. We meet you up from your hotel looby/ reception. We offer free airport complimentary pick up for arriving guests on the morning of the safari. The driver will meet them at Paul caffe with a pager for easy identification.

Our driver Benson was excellent, he went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. Safe driver, who also knew lots about the wildlife and answered all our questions. Made sure we had a good time and adapted the safari to make sure it was suited to us. Door to door service was excellent.

Kelvin sayiaton was an amazing guide very knowledgeable and always knew the best places to get the perfect snap shots of animals. Our accomodation was very rustic and authentic and well worth the money, with us getting tasty food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

We had such a wonderful time, our driver Kelvin Saiyaton was very good at explaining stuff on the safari and was very patient with us when we wanted to take photos or just stop to see the animals.

The overall experience was not good. The operator Perfect safari was far from perfect. They did manage to get us front row seats, so they picked us first and we could reserve it. I am truly grateful for that because I was with my old father. But nothing was on time. They probably don't have a watch. We kept waiting for other travelers for 2 hours before we could hit the road. And then the driver stopped every now and then for all kinds of reasons. There were also these chain smoker girls in the group who had to smoke every minute in and out of the 4x4, even in the gas station! They sure were handful for our poor driver. The other travelers were very decent and respectful though, very nice to have such people onboard. The Maasai mara park itself was stunning. We saw everything including Mara River crossing of the wildebeest herd as part of great migration. All of it was once in a lifetime experience and here our driver Branson did his best to not miss anything. The guy worked hard, raced to locations where there was spotting of lions, cheetah, rhinos etc. Our lodge Jambo Mara safari lodge was also cool, very close to the park. The ride back was again late and tiring. The car broke down on the way, clutch problem s, another 2 hours wasted. I did a similar safari trip in Tanzania (serengeti) and the experience was totally opposite. Fortunately, they had the watch, everything handled so professionally. Overall - Park was great. Tour operator - Not so good.

However, we must respectfully clarify that the severe timing delays and disruptions you experienced were not a failure of our organization, but the direct result of other clients in your shared vehicle. On group safaris, punctuality relies entirely on all passengers respecting the departure schedule. The two-hour delay at the start of your trip and the continuous unscheduled stops along the way were caused by fellow travelers arriving late and insisting on frequent breaks, rather than company negligence. While our drivers work hard to keep groups on schedule, managing uncooperative passengers without ruining their experience is a challenging balancing act. We do sincerely apologize for the clutch breakdown on the return journey, which compounded an already long day. Mechanical issues, though rare with our fleet, are an unfortunate risk on rough safari roads, but we understand how frustrating the added wait was after an already delayed start. We are deeply grateful for your kind words regarding Branson's hard work, your driver’s care for your father, and your stay at Jambo Mara Safari Lodge. 1st safari in Masai Mara in a group of 6, very well accompanied by Kimata, our excellent, cheerful, and dynamic driver-guide, and Vincent, our personal French-speaking guide, full of wisdom and always smiling. During 3 days and 2 nights, we were able to take advantage of these 2 professionals of Kenya's natural parks and their knowledge of the animals, the savanna, and local life. Thanks to Kimata for his exemplary driving. I was able to sit in the front in the car. By his side, I had no nausea and felt completely safe on the road or in the bush. Kimata knows all the paths in the park very well and helped us discover all the most beautiful places with the big 5. He knows how to position himself for the best photos based on the animal's behavior and the other jeeps around without disturbing them or scaring the animals away. Thanks to Vincent, who translated the explanations the whole time and gave us additional information in perfect French. At the first exchange, we thought he had lived in France! His knowledge of animals and nature is impressive. He was able to describe to us with precision the lions' strategies for attacking their prey, those of the crocodiles regarding the hippopotamuses, the group or solo life of all the animals we could see, and much more. We recommend them to you with our eyes closed, even with children (we had our 8-year-old mascot among all the adults who kept up the pace and was very calm).

Everything went perfectly. They are extremely organized and punctual, as well as very friendly and knowledgeable. On the morning of the hotel pick-up, they arrived early and were willing to wait in the lobby. Even in the communications before the excursion, they were always ready and quick to respond. Our driver Kimata was exceptional. Not everyone can drive on Kenya’s roads and navigate the safari the way he did — fearlessly, yet always attentive to us passengers, as we chased after the Big 5. Our other guide, Vincent, was also very willing to share all sorts of interesting facts about Kenya and the Masai Mara. The Jambo Mara Lodge was a very pleasant surprise. Clean, accessible, and well cared for. The staff were also well-trained, courteous, and very welcoming. The rooms were quite charming, even if in a more Western style — and being a bit far from home, that’s never a bad thing. Thanks again, Kimata and Vincent, and we hope to see you again. Considering the average prices and the transport to and from Nairobi (5 hours by car), including meals etc., the value for money is more than excellent. Park fees can be very high at certain times of year, but that’s not the agency’s fault. We also added a visit to a Masai village.
