This was a thorough and worthwhile experience! I was fortunate to see many animals in the National Park and the elephant orphanage was also a major highlight. The food that we ate for lunch was very good and the Maasai shop was a great place to buy some souvenirs and gifts.
What an incredible day! Simon the tour guide was very knowledgeable, patient, and helped us enjoy every step of the day. We saw many animals. We were up close and had many excellent photo opportunities. This is a great tour if you want to see the three big highlights in one day (national Park, elephant orphanage and giraffe center) and the bonus is the bead factory visit which was incredible and meaningful. I highly recommend this tour.
Great day adventure exploring, safari park, elephant orphanage and giraffe center. Our guide Vincent was very knowledgeable and polite. Great communication prior. Definitely recommend!!
It was a great experience. We upgraded to a private 4x4 jeep the night before our booking and they were fully flexible and the additional cost was reasonable.
Awesome day where you get to do a lot of awesome stuff in just one day! Lots of animals that was super close during the safari, and even rhinos that happily took a mud bath just by the car. The elephant orphanage and giraffe centre was amazing and loved seeing the art work at Kobe. Really recommend!
They showed up 1,5 hour late, refunded to apologise and were upset that we were angry about it. The guide then ignored us throughout the entire trip and only spoke to the other guests. Very bad experience
Good Service, would totally recommend. They were punctual, knowledgeable and very willing to help provide support.
A great day that ran very smoothly with good comms & instructions for park payment the previous afternoon. Frank was a great guide & driver manoeuvring expertly, communicating with other vehicles & doing his utmost to ensure we saw as much as possible. Hot tip. Try to ensure you follow instructions & pay for park prior to the tour & have your cash ready for the elephant & giraffe centres to avoid wasting time while you could be viewing animals!
First of all, it's been a long time! I was picked up at 6:00 a.m. and brought home at 4:00 p.m. — ten full hours of travel with rare stops! Don't be fooled that it's "just 4 hours in the park, an hour for elephants, an hour for giraffes" - it all takes a lot longer, plus the moves, plus the stops. Secondly, I got a lot more than I expected — but because I read the negative reviews, and I was willing to discount. But in order. It's organized in a wonderfully clear way. The day before the trip, they sent detailed instructions on what to do. The instructions warn that you must buy a ticket to the park yourself - and this is fine, as it avoids a giant queue at the entrance. Clear details are also given on how much cash to take to pay elsewhere. Picked up from the hotel at exactly the right time. Let's go to the park. Friendly warning: try not to drink anything in the morning. A toilet visit is available at the entrance to the park, the next toilet stop is in FOUR HOURS. The park is tiny, 117 square kilometers. Very beautiful against the natural scenery look the views of the large city surrounding the park. There are not many animals, but what there are - they are not afraid of humans. The lioness walked calmly between the cars with the expression “how boring you are, let me have lunch in peace”. The guide did his best to try to find us the maximum animals in the park. After the park, we went to the elephants. The absolutely adorable sight of feeding elephants, with a pitying account of every elephant: where found, how rescued. Then lunch, nothing special or exotic, standard good food at the souvenir shop cafe. Then to the giraffes. I read the reviews that it was a totally commercial event, crowds of tourists, cheeky giraffes. Well... yes! There's a lot of people, but you can break through, and giraffes are happy with any bite you feed them. And they're so beautiful! Some people are afraid, yes, but the posters and park officials warn. Giraffes have warthogs running under their feet! I shouted "Pumba!" and the little boy whispered admiringly: Mother, look, the aunt knows the name of this pig ))) Then to the jewelry factory. We were exhausted already, but the guide was so cool! She told me the bead-making process, she showed me everything. The workers all warmly welcomed us, sang a song. Some people will say that it is also a commercial event, so tourists buy beads - and to me, help community and support local small businesses. And no one makes you buy anything. I'm perfectly happy with the day I spent on this tour, and I think it was absolutely worth its money.
We had an absolutely incredible day! Kelvin and our driver were phenomenal and positioned us SO well in the park. We had very exciting encounter with a lioness, and despite a crowd, we got the best views!! The entire experience was very well planned. While all the animal encounters were of course amazing, the beads factory was unexpectedly a really cool experience and amazing cause. Cannot recommend this tour enough if you just have one day to explore the nature around Nairobi!
