Lake Bled is one of the finest Alpine resorts with a storybook landscape. The Vintgar gorge is a natural wonder located in the Triglav National Park, created by the crystal-clear water of the Radovna River. The 1.6 km long wooden walkway leads the way around the gorge to get you as close to the turquoise water and its formations (waterfalls, pools and rapids) as possible. Beside the amazing natural creations, onlookers can also admire man-made sights: the old stone bridge of the Bohinj Railway, constructed in 1906 and the dam from which the water is routed to the small Vintgar hydroelectric power plant. Towards the end of the gorge, onlookers become dazzled by the Šum waterfall, the largest river waterfall in Slovenia. Experience tranquility, calmness and the most intact nature.

Beautiful nature. Good running shoes needed at Castle Bled and the Vintgar Gorge. Bring a bottle of water for the road.

Amazing trip and guide seeing some of the best of Slovenia. The view from the top of the Castle, Bled Island, the V Gorge and Bohinj were just beautiful - and the cakes weren’t bad either! This trip was ideal to see the beauty of Slovenia and being on a organised trip meant we could maximise seeing all that we did and best beauty spots as well as learn more about Slovenia and the areas we visited. (Review written by Jill). Amazing trip! We got to see so many things in one day. Our party of four booked all eight seats on the minivan so it would essentially be a private tour where we had more flexibility to do what we wanted. Nate, our guide was fantastic and we very efficiently made use of our time. We hiked through the gorge (stunning!!), hiked part way around Lake Bled, took a boat to the island, visited Bled Castle, drove around Lake Boninj, rode the gondola above Lake Boninj, and did a hike at the top of the gondola. Wonderful trip and guide!
We did three day trips with Slovenian Wander. The first was to Lake Bled, Lake Bohinj & Vintgar Gorge with Tina. The next was to Postojna cave, Predjama castle and Piran with Nate & the last tour was to Soča Valley & Kranjska Gora Valley with Tina again. All the trips were fantastic, we really couldn't pick a favourite. Both guides were friendly, helpful & extremely informative. We had just the right amount of information on the way & also some quiet time so the children (& my husband) could sleep in the cars between places. The vehicles were very comfortable & as we are a family of 6 it was lovely to have the privacy of a private vehicle rather than a large coach. I don't believe a coach would have been able to take us to some of the places we stopped at along the way due to its size. We were conveniently picked up & dropped off outside our hotel. During the tours we were guided around some parts, which was very helpful, we were also given some free time to take photos, get food & investigate places. I would highly recommend using the company, you won't be disappointed.
We're a group of 5 and we wanted a private experience, so we booked and paid for all 8 spots. Pre-trip communications were smooth and they replied very quickly (within a few hours even with the time zone differences). Nejc arrived early at our hotel with a big smile. He was super helpful and recommended some changes to the order of our stops, as it was pouring heavily near Lake Bled in the morning. He took great care of my elderly parents and was super friendly! I wish our trip was a bit longer so I could spend a few more days exploring this beautiful country with Nejc.
