The Slovenia in One Day tour, running small-group from Ljubljana since 2011: Lake Bled, Postojna Cave, and Predjama Castle in one day, with a licensed local guide and no more than 8 guests. One day, three of Slovenia's best-known places! You'll glide across Lake Bled on a traditional pletna boat to the island church, ride the underground train deep into Postojna Cave, and stand beneath Predjama Castle, built improbably into a cliff face. Between the sights, there's time to walk the lakeshore, taste the famous Bled cream cake, and hear the stories your local guide grew up with. Because the group stays small, up to 8 in a comfortable van rather than a big coach, the day stays relaxed and bends to what your group feels like. Admissions like the cave, the boat, and the castles are optional, so you only pay for the stops you choose, and we share the prices upfront. Postojna Cave is the best-known cave in the world. It is also the greatest tourist attraction in Slovenia and one of the world's largest Karst monuments.
The Predjama Castle reigns over the surrounding area, perched high up in a vertical cliff, not far from the Postojna cave, in the idyllic village of Predjama. It is an interesting and romantic sight throughout the year: in the spring and summer its surroundings are abundant with blossoms and flowers, in the autumn it is clad in the colours of surrounding forests and it is at its most enchanting in the winter when the surrounding area is covered in snow.
A trip to Bled, the charming Alpine resort at the very edge of the Julian Alps, must be a part of any visit to Slovenia.
Dive in the lake tradition and ride by pletna boat to the island. Following the boat ride, you get some time to explore the little island and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding area. Optionally, you can enter the Church of the Assumption and even ring the wishing bell, which has been ringing over Lake Bled since 1534.
Visit Bled castle, perched on a sheer cliff high above Lake Bled. Visit the Bled castle museum, which gives you an insight into the history of the entire area, and admire the views of Lake Bled from several viewpoints at the castle.

- Please keep in mind that there are quite a few stairs at the Bled island, Bled castle, and Predjama castle, but you would do that in a fairly slow pace.
- Small group tour - up to 8 people per van.
- Warm and comfortable clothes and footwear are essential to visit the Postojna cave (temperature in the cave is 9°C / 48 Fahrenheit).

We had a wonderful day with our guide Tomaz. The meeting point was easy to find and the group left on time. Small group of 8 people and a very comfortable mini van to travel in. Tomaz was knowledgeable, warm and funny, very charming and we loved spending time with him. The sights were everything we could have hoped for - The caves and Lake Bled were our favourites and we enjoyed the whole day very much. Tomaz was organised without making us feel rushed which was great. We were back in Ljubljana by around 6.30pm so good for dinner time. Thank you Tomaz, we will have wonderful memories of our trip in Slovenia!

Long day but the easiest way to see two must see attractions if you only have a few days in Slovenia. Our guide was knowledgeable and so funny. Bring water and snacks as this is a full day without too much downtime.

Having said that … it was a wonderful experience! We started at Postojna Cave, followed by Predjama Castle, Bled Castle and a boat ride to Lake Bled … although the weather was amazing at first, we had a brief rain and thunderstorm in the afternoon which our tour guide handled marvelously. Gordona’s knowledge of history, geography and even geopolitical situation of Slovenia and its people were impressive. Where ir made even more of a difference is in the vehicle. Most tour companies have commercial/cargo vans for groups of up to 8 people. Gordana, from Slovenia Explorer showed up with an ultra comfortable recreational/camper van - it made a huge difference to all. Overall, an amazing experience.
