Itinerary
We start our tour at “Kotti”, one of the central places in Kreuzberg. In a short introduction, our guide will give you an overview of Kreuzberg’s history, life and culture. Kreuzberg was founded as a typical working class neighbourhood in the middle of the 19th century. The people lived in huge building complexes, some of them in the fifth or sixth backyard. We discover these places at Oranienstraße and try to imagine life back in the days, when it was almost impossible to breathe fresh air; when many people didn’t rent a whole flat or a room, but an 8 hours-stay on a mattress. Obviously, most people of the working class had a (radical) left-wing views. So Kreuzberg logically turned into a critical neighbourhood with constant demonstrations – escalations included. Our guide will tell you about “The mother of all street fights” and we visit the SO 36, a legendary music club, where anarchistic Punk and New Wave bands excited the audience in the 1970’s and 80’s and provoked the government and police. We discover “Görli Park” – the “Central Park” of Kreuzberg. And we get to know Berlin’s Jack the Ripper! After two hours, you will see Kreuzberg from a different point of view. Before we say Good bye, we have a typical Berliner Schnaps together. Now you are prepared to start your next adventure in Kreuzberg with its famous nightlife – or if you prefer to relax after this exploratory city-tour.

I've been a Berliner myself for 34 years. But I booked the tour for my cousin and his wife from the Rhineland to show them the less glamorous corners in Berlin. We were thrilled by the lively remarks of Sammy. And I, as a Berliner, also learned something more...
It is an interesting walk through Berlin Kreuzberg with anecdotes and background knowledge from our tour guide Sammy. We enjoyed it.
Very informative tour with a very sympathetic quay. Alone, we wouldn't have dared to go there in the evening.
A great tour guide with interesting information about the history and a great route through Kreuzberg.
A two-hour informative insight into what makes Kreuzberg tick - led by a very expert guide. Not foolish, not raced - a good pace
"Great tour of Kreuzberg! Our guide Sammy is very sympathetic and gave exciting insights into the history and life in the neighbourhood. Lots of cool corners discovered that you would have missed on your own. Highly recommended!"
Unfortunately, we waited half an hour for the tour guide. No one came and we could go home unfinished business. we were very disappointed , angry, fucked and horrified and are desperately expecting our money back! We had two Berlin visitors who were very excited. BR-1107371121, ri117042 viator
The evening tour of Kreuzberg with our guide Sammy was super fun and was incredibly interesting. The atmosphere was very relaxed and it seemed like walking with a friend and learning a lot of information and stories about the neighborhood. We talked well in between, were also able to ask questions not only about Kreuzberg and exchange ideas with each other. Absolute Recommendation and always back!
We had a very entertaining tour with Thomas. We were a small group and had a good exchange about our experiences of Berlin. Once you have seen the main sights, a tour like this is a good addition
Super pleasant tour with lots of information! Relaxed atmosphere in a small group, exciting exchange with everyone, simply a great evening with our guide Thomas, who really brought Kreuzberg closer to us. Thank you very much!
